Really can't say a lot about the patches. It's a matter of taste. But you get plenty good ones. In your case I wouldn't care as much about a new synth. eXpanse is a beast. But if you really want to have some unique sound Nostromo is a beauty. The sound above has been a preset with some patch changes...

Here is a short sample of them in action. Would never have come up with a riff like this. I love the creativity of this combo.

Give Nostromo a try. Very versatile Synth. It's a bit daunting in the beginning, but once you start to understand how it works. Especially in combination with PSQ

Cable once and setup a template for new song templates. Or use a combinator for more flexible use

Works with wifi. Just choose link as the sync mode in reason (bottom left) and enable it in the iOS app's settings. Then they will both link and play in sync

And if you didn't notice already... You can export to LIVE. Don't know whether it's still in, there has also been a giveaway key for Live LITE when they introduced the Export to LIVE feature. It's the same like ableton live... and very awesome. The Sequencer is just transposed. One row is playing as long as the longest loop max 16 bars (if i rember correctly), and the others are multiplied. I love it. How do you get I'm contact with the devs? I just know the forum here, and I know some are on fb. I don't do a lot of composing because I love to create patches sitting hours and days on single patches. Would happily beta test those devices and create some stock patches

No, its not a xml file. Its a binary file. But rather simple. But it doesn't work as expected. I tried to add a minimal set of devices, but reason doesn't show it properly. I don't have the files any longer. And didn't want to waste even more time

Short improvement idea for the backdrop. The label for the buttons and knobs is text color black on Reason 8 with its light theme. Maybe make the area where the labels are stored in a little bit brighter for a better contrast
