This new Scenic Hybrid Instrument should be part of Reason Standard Update, not Suite.
I have already paid every other instrument in that Suite bundle. So I would purchase it again.
Otherwise I pay 129.-€ for that update and maybe 99.-€ for the Scenic Hybrid Instrument.

@stevan: That could be that it wants a little more power than the iMac is feeding to the USB port. In that case it can be solved using a powered hub, but there is usually some port that always works. that sounds logical ... I'll try a powered hub soon, but it is still strange that I haven't any Pro...

I noticed a very strange behaviour now, I simply plugged the usb cable (from Balance) in a different usb port on my iMac and after that the problem seems gone ...
Then I started the iMac new, the problem is back. Now I changed the usb port again, problem is gone ... wtf

I suppose when Apple make changes to their USB 2.0 Audio Device class driver, they sometimes cause some regression issues for some devices. Is Balance generally compatible with OS HighSierra ? I noticed unfortunately massive performance problems since I updated to the newest Apple OS . Very early audio crackling, even with high buffer/latency settings (512 and more)

I wrote about that problem before, but nobody reacted - so, next try : after updating from a completely stable 9.5 to 9.5.1 I experience, after every reopening a new song, a problem. For roundabout 300ms the GUI is totally pixelated, scrambled . After that everything is fine. I dont see that in 9.5....

After spending more time in Reason since updating, I am still happy to report no audio or dsp issues, however, scrolling around goes very slow and my Apple magic mouse 2 keeps jerking around when I'm drawing beats and notes in the sequencer, no matter how careful I am being.
