Cheers for your reply! I've worked out how to do this completely self-contained inside NN-XT; I just select all zones and then use the LFO1 to modulate the Level on them all with a triangle wave with Key Sync deactivated. Creates a great tremolo
Many thanks!

Tremolo in Reason Essentials
Can anyone help me create a tremolo effect out of an NN-XT guitar patch I made using just native devices in Reason Essentials?

Re: Delete/Permanently hide crappy Rack Extentions
If you contact Propellerhead support they can permanently remove some REs from your account if you want (they'll make you say you're sure you want to, as you'll have to buy them again if you want them back in your account!). I did this a few years ago as I was tired of when I did a Sync All it bring...

Re: Need Help Making A Filter!
Had a try with this, for the LPF it works amazing! Fully closed filter results in no sound coming through! (I wonder why Thor's native filter 3 controls don't sweep this far down and need hacking via the programmer?). Fading in with this starts with no sound through to a low rumble and then brings i...

Re: Why actually reason is the worst DAW ever
Your example of groupings isn't accurate. You can group the output busses for multiple channels in the Mixer window and control their volumes with a single fader. while grouping tracks in the mixer its usefull a you can do it.. i want to group them also in the sequencer and its not possible right n...

Re: Antares autotune in reason? is it possible?
Ableton Live on Windows is in a similar boat to Reason in that it only supports VST2. According to this: http://support.antarestech.com/support/solutions/articles/26000001729-is-auto-tune-compatible-with-ableton-live- Auto-Tune EFX 3 is compatible with Ableton Live 9 on both Windows and Mac. Re: Need Help Making A Filter!
I'm still on Reason 8 so don't have VSTs, hence I need a native Reason solution and didn't really want to have to buy an RE for my fix... I've already tried Thor Filter 3 and Pulverizer but neither of these filters closes fully in either direction to stop any sound coming through. From what I gather...

Re: Propellerhead introduces Layers synth.
I've queried with Propellerhead why this needs Reason 9.2 to run, given how simple it is! Must be to do with being built in the new SDK, but I'm wondering how easy it would be for them to compile it in the old SDK instead for those of us still on Reason 8....

Need Help Making A Filter!
Hi all, Back in the day when I used Cubase, I had a plugin called Sonalksis TBK1. It was a simple Filter knob, but it swept all the way from no sound through to the full sound either as a high pass down, or low pass up. Even when just using a 12db curve. Here's a video of it being used: https://www....

Re: Propellerhead introduces Layers synth.
Nothing really new in this Rack Extension for those with Analogue Monsters already. These are great sounds though!
However for something so simple it's disappointing that this only works on Reason 9.2+ I cannot buy it from the store with a Reason 8 license; it says you must upgrade.

Re: IDK + Organic Rack Extensions
For strictly RE options, there aren't very many options outside of StringWerk and the A-List devices. Emotional Piano is nice, if you're looking for that. ProjectSAM is unfortunately a total waste. Aeon Organic might be of interest, though personally I didn't feel super attached to it when I triale...

IDT + Organic Rack Extensions
Hi, I'm trying to find all the nicest organic and realistic sounding Rack Extensions (no synthetic sounds here!). Discounting the Propellerheads ones (such as the A-List which I already have) the only one I can find so far is this: StringWERK Can anybody recommend any other high quality REs that giv...

Re: My SSD is too fast.
It sounds like a Windows laptop and not a Mac.
I'd do a backup of all your personal files. Then I'd reinstall Windows from scratch and then install Reason from scratch. That will make sure Windows is properly optimised for your SSD.
Good luck!

Re: Old Propellerhead Record program - does it need authorising?
It would be nice if Props could allow an authorisation amnesty on that program if it's still in my account but effectively obsolete. Yeah sure, give away the secret to their copy protection which also protects the current programs. Yeah, that's a brilliant idea. Given the above was your first messa...

Re: Old Propellerhead Record program - does it need authorising?
You don't understand how Wibu works. Even if a cracker can work out that hash, it would be completely useless to decrypt Reason 6, Reason 7, Reason 8 or Reason 9. Guess what? Reason 5 contains some of the same code as Record and Reason 5's binary is completely unencrypted. For example, the Open fil...

Re: Old Propellerhead Record program - does it need authorising?
Gorgon, what are you talking about? We haven't seen a cracked version of Record because the only binary available to the public is the encrypted one; and the crackers haven't been able to decrypt it!! Guess what. If you could compare (part of) the decrypted version to the encrypted version, you mig...

Sorry Gorgon, but it is clearly you who doesn't know. Uhuh. The part of the Record app that handles the operations that require authorisation, these parts are encrypted inside the binary. If they released a version of the Record app in full non-encrypted form Which will never happen. Maybe I took a...

Re: Old Propellerhead Record program - does it need authorising?
Just trying to make use of something that appears to be obsolete, but still 'mine'. There are plenty of free DAWs that can play a backing track No need for sarcasm. I'm sure they could allow it to be authorised without giving away the secrets of International Rescue. Well that shows that you don't ...

Re: Reason 9.5 for your Reason 7
You've misunderstood, I think he wants to downgrade! I've found that when using an Ignition Key, you can use the earlier Reason versions without problem (i.e. if you only have a v8 license on the key, v7 app and v6 app will still show fully authorised). I don't think this works with Online or Offlin...

Another reason why Reason 7 is the best version of Reason ever,. I disagree, as I feel Reason 9.5 is the best version of Reason ever. It fixes Reason 7's hideously old fashioned skeuomorphic transport, adds a metric shit ton of new features between 7 and 9.5, and positions Reason to be a true DAW t...

Re: Reason 4 to Reason 9 noob question.
Another reason why Reason 7 is the best version of Reason ever, you can still do this on there. More CPU efficient than the new versions too. Aside from VSTs, there's nothing about the future updates of Reason 8 (new GUI and impulse reverb) or Reason 9 (MIDI generators and loss of Line 6) that offer...
