Spend some time, and try everything you have.

It's best to have a handful of options, because your ears will get tired.

Use Multi OSC and use different detune modes and move the detune amount

Re: R11 Suite - in hindsight

"What you think of R11 Suite?" It's all I use. : ) I have R12 but don't use it, because the R12 graphics need more work, and I like the vintage Reason graphics more. I would sell my R12 license, but they may eventually fix some of the devices, I have issues with. The workflow in R12 is nice though.....

there's also Noise Engineering: ref: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/browse/?category=instruments&developer=Noise+Engineering I think the ask was for REs that are individual "modular modules", like oscillator, envelope, amp, filter, etc. technically, NE's devices are self-contained, although I a...

Re: CV destroys your audio?

Kiloheartz bit crusher works well if you are into that. When I want to destroy a signal( and I do) I like to bring it out of the box and run it hot hot hot through an analog signal chain. I am not smart enough to know how to fix the latency when I bring it back in so I resample on the way back in. ...

Re: CV destroys your audio?

Sample rate is audio rate /64 (roughly 689 Hz when sample rate is 44.1kHz). This means the highest frequency you can represent is half that or around 345Hz. The bit depth is 32 bit so you may be better off just using a bit rate reducer FX if that's what you're looking for. Thanks! Yes, this all mak...

CV destroys your audio?

This could be a good thing though. Or, maybe I'm doing something completely wrong. Skope shows lots of added harmonics. If I wanted the 8bit sound, I'd just send my audio to cv, then back to audio again? After all these years, I can't believe I haven't tried actually listening to cv signals. W...

Re: FM Sweep Comparisons

Haven't messed with this idea before, but you inspired me to dig into it. (BRB) Wow, you can go from sine wave to white noise quickly with FM feedback. Feedback through a filter gets even more interesting. Modulating FB amount and filter cutoff (and using the Multi Osc instead of simple sines) make...

Thor's audio routing and feedback, through the mod matrix, is super powerful. Which why I'm using it more, lately.
