Re: Where to Hire a Dev?
Some people are really "smart" in this thread. Instead of making it more attractive for everyone and pointing to developers (as others did), they scrutinize original posters over the meanings of communications and the usage of the word "internet". And then they finish with "are yo ready to pay" as i...

Re: Can't buy synthetic Rig 4... wt????
Just so you all know, I had a support request with them a month back and we spoke twice and they replied but they did not fix this issue and just ignored that part of the email, I sent an all new request 5 days ago and nothing, nada. Haven't heard a word back. I was so patient before I sent a secon...

Re: Are you upgrading to Reason 13?
It is still more than half cheaper than the Reason (perpetual) license :D How many instruments and effects are included with Reaper? Would you say that Reaper is a complete environment for making music? Yeah man, I just waited for someone to ask me that. Though I wouldn't expect snarkism from a dev...

It is astonishing to see how much of relativization is taken into action solely for the purpose of trivializing bad update decisions.

Re: Are you upgrading to Reason 13?
TIL that Reaper updates cost money. I was under the assumption their licenses included all future updates? 🤔 They need to make enough money to stay afloat. No, they don't. Of course, they need to make money for cold engines but they couldn't care less. They wouldn't charge $60 for such tremendous s...

Re: VSTs (or lack of them) in R13 browser
After much frustration, I've gone back to R12. The reason (cough) being that unless I'm missing something, R13 pretends VSTs don't exist. In R12, I could make Favourites folders and find my the ones I needed straight away, as well as easily choose one when setting up Send FX. R13 just seems to offe...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
June 18, three weeks away untill R13 gets released. I can't feel the hype, tbh. Remember the announcement of Ableton Live 12? Each days tons of new YT-videos exploring and explaining the new features of the beta release so far. I wonder why the R13 beta testers are not allowed to communicate what t...

Re: Reason 13 and the new Side Chain unit
Does the new Reason 13 side chain unit have a patch for ducking vocal reverb? I know how to patch it manually but its a pain. Also, what are the minimum requirements for Reason 13? If you think pressing the Tab key on the keyboard and dragging the mouse on your screen is pain then you don't know wh...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Funny, reason 8 was sold as an update focused on workflow https://youtu.be/HGqYxZfzFEc?si=wwu2vBkSj55Jlxl4 That version also brought sequencer updates https://youtu.be/cAYXX6qyz4U?si=wN5iDOosUfEFygzh I always found that video and that specific music one of the most awesome pieces ever! Re: Announcing Reason 13
The difference is that you won't see pretty pictures in the browser. The bigger difference is that this won't work for devices that don't have preset functionality, and there are quite a few of those. Ouch yes, you are right. Well, you can freely turn on or off the Devices section and search in it,...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Can we still search for devices on the left browser? Yes, but from what I see on the videos and screenshots you can freely create your own folder or favorites such as for example "Synths" and create an "Init" patch for each instrument so you can have instruments (or whatever) in the browser as well...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I think it probably was "maybe we'll add a theming engine"... then: "ok we won't" and now it's just two themes so you can match the OS setting Light/Dark like most apps. EDIT: Even with two themes you have people complaining about the mixer. If we want the mixer themed every additional color is a l...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I swear it feels like Ryan Harlin is the one who keeps Reason Studios on the map. And I don't mean that in a used car salesman sort of way. But it's just the way he can articulate the vision of Reason Studios He's the best at what he does!! Maybe for you. For me, he's just a PR person. Yes, a good ...

Re: Re173 Preamp & EQ
Demoing this and it sounds good but there is a digital squeaking / crackling as I change settings. I think there needs to be some smoothing on the controls as this is something I've encountered when beta testing other REs. Reviving this thread. I don't hear any squeaking and crackling. That must be...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
@supersmarter, it's possible. Wait are you trying to tell me it is possible to load specific patches from A to B, keep B for example, and then load something entirely different in A and then morph? If that is true, if I didn't misunderstand you then shiiiiet my weekend just got better... :c...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
If not you may be able to use the crossfader from the new r13 device in a Combinator possibly. That would be mixing two already-defined signals. So you have A and B and yo can crossfade between them. Morph feature in Polytone is different. It "morphs" parameters. So something 50% between A or B doe...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
It’s something that’s been around for a while, the latest hardware synth to do it I’m aware of is PolyBrute and the first I knew of was the Yamaha AN1x released in 1998! You’re basically just crossfading values for each knob, so if it was 0% on one path and 100% on the other, a 50/50 morph would se...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Polytone - The option to "morph" feature seems stunning. It would have been amazing and weird to be able to "morph" between say a pad in A and a bassline in B. ReasonStudios is it possible to load a specific patch in A and then a specific Patch in B? That would be a nice twist. Something like that i...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
We are not talking about the same thing, as this new browser is only for patches and sounds. I'm talking about the device browser which stay as a separate window on the left side of the rack/sequencer. At least up until now we've been able to create custom groups which you could use to categorize d...

Removing the ability to detach the screens from each other would be such a weird choice that I really don't think this is something we have to worry about. What is making me continually more worried is that we still haven't seen any evidence of favorites/custom groups in the device browser :? I sea...
