Key-switched patches in reason default soundbank
Perhaps I am not understanding how they work, but in key-switched patches, say the flute patch in reason wind instruments I can cannot get the instruments to change.. what keys switch the instruments. the legend on the faceplate (combinator) gives switching keys, but pressing them does nothing with ...

"quiet storm" flute-ish horn patch?
I'm trying to get a flute-ish horn sound as heard in the background of the chorus of this classic tune https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3qSD_ivuAw which is a sound (or similar) used on many soft rock and "quiet storm" style tracks of the late 70's and 80's. I have been unable to create it myself usi...

Re: scratchy audio after driver reinstallation
I don't use ASIO4all. I use steinberg's dedicated driver. And I may have solved my own problems, there's an updated driver available.

scratchy audio after driver reinstallation
So windows did a big update and of course reason wigged out gave the 'ol "installing" stall error. So again I unistalled and reinstalled my steinberg UR22 ASIO driver. Reason is back and running, but now I get scratchy dropouts in my audio... is this common with re-installing the driver? Is there a ...

Looking for ARP Soloist sounds
I have tried the free ARP soloist plug-in... doesn't quite do it and doesn't work in Reason. I'm really after that flute sound. Those Santana records and of course being the synth from Mister Rogers. I am unfortunately not a synth wizard so I can't "roll my own". There's some presets in some other v...

Re: lo-fi tape effects?
FWIW, I like to hook up a Pulsar LFO (or any LFO) to the Pitch Bend input of devices to add "wobble" to patches. The advantages are it works on all oscillators/engines at once and it happens before the FX devices (which I like). It's a "one cable" quick solution to adding a bit of creative wobble t...

lo-fi tape effects?
I didn't know what subforum to ask in.. I am after a z-vex lo-fi junky kind of vibe.. a guitar pedal I own and truly adore.. is there a rack extension or vst that can give that vibe in reason? There are many tape delay effects, chorus effects.. but not quite what I'm after. Could anyone point me in ...

ARP prosoloist vst/refill/whatver?
The free ProSoloVst does not work in reason. Is there anything else out there? Even some refill patches.. anything? I'm going for that Billy Preston vibe

turns out I actually posted this same question a year ago after windows update, and did that very thing to solve it. Had I searched the question I'd have found my exact post LOL

Reason trying to install steinberg driver at launch
I go to open reason as I normally would, login, fine, then it tries to install the driver from my steinberg UR22mkII and gets stuck on a "preparing to install" window. I want to say I've sued since the windows update, but maybe I haven't. Anyone else had this issue?

Reason 9.5 problem with new windows 10 updates
Windows 10 recently updated itself. When I startup reason it tries to install steinberg drivers for my steinberg UR22 MKII. It sits on the "preparing to install" screen without moving forward. I have had no previous issues and windows used the currently installed steinberg drivers just fine for ever...

overwrite patch in refill?
The refill forum seems to be more about promoting and sharing actual refills, so I'm asking this question here, though feel free to move it if you think it's in the inappropriate section. Long story short, have a favorite patch in a favorite refill that is sample based nn-xt patch. one of the sample...

Re: UR22 MKII only comes in left side monitoring
answered my own question, when you create an audio track, and switch the input to mono and monitor only that track it's in mono both sides. when you monitor via the input at the top it treats each i/o channel as left and right. I was assuming that was the master monitoring swtich. The other question...

UR22 MKII only comes in left side monitoring
I'm trying to play guitar direct into reason through my steinberg UR22MKII, but it is only seeing channel 1 as the left channel. Is there a way to make channel 1 monitor in mono so I can hear it though both sides on the headphones? I can't find the answer here through searching. Otherwise loving rea...

Re: Playing guitar live through reason
If I don't send it through the computer I don't send it through reason's effects live. And I don't have direct monitoring on my interface. It's not high-end. The headphone out comes direct from what's going in the box. This what I want to do hypothetically if I can explain it: Plug in guitar into in...

Re: Playing guitar live through reason
Yes direct monitoring on. I otherwise cannot hear effects live, just during playback. I cannot adjust buffer size in reason, only in the usb-audio.de control panel. recording is fine I monitor through the i/o box, but I want to be able to use the in reason effects

Playing guitar live through reason
I use reason 7. After much internet searching, including this forum I have not been able to get a concrete understanding of this issue. Maybe someone here can help? I play ambient guitar and would like to hear my effects live while recording my guitar parts. Unfortunately I get what I assume is late...
