ZGameEditor Visualizer [FOR] Reason

I just discovered a video editor tool for FL Studio users to create a synchronized music video (mostly for producers) all within the software. Anyone know if us Reason users has something like this? Idk it might be a bit far fetched, but after seeing this for FL it changes the whole way of using our...

Re: Reason Templates: The Good, The Bad, The Amazing.

I like clean new projects AND being able to access custom resources very quickly. To solve this I've made a broader "template" using my organizational approach. It's basically two steps. The first step is the design of my Reason folder (not referring to the Reason program folder). Within is a folde...

Re: Reason Templates: The Good, The Bad, The Amazing.

If you find yourself repeatedly setting something up a particular way over and over again(reverb/delay sends, sidechain stuff, etc), it helps to add that to a template IMO. You can have different templates for different things and call upon them only when needed. Otherwise, you can start with a com...

Re: Reason Templates: The Good, The Bad, The Amazing.

I have the greatest template ever built by a member of the human race. I have an entire drum rack of kong , several redrums dr otco's etc. Mostly all kicks are routed to same mix channel via merger etc same with most of the drum elements with 90% of sidechaining, eq compression and saturation happe...

Not too shabby! That’s a good idea for getting quick beat rhythms. Cheers!

Re: Reason Templates: The Good, The Bad, The Amazing.

Same as above, I rarely use templates. Templates are best used when your process for creating is repetitive. If you're always going to use Kong, then put Kong in the template. Typically use a certain kind of synth for bass? Then put that in the template. Certain blend of instrument layers (such as ...

Re: Reason Templates: The Good, The Bad, The Amazing.

First of all, creating yourself a template isn't really solving a problem, at least not for me. It's all about already creating and doing these cumbersome tasks that you do on every track or to have those 2-3 instruments ready that you would reach to anyway. A first thing would be to set a BPM. Alw...

Reason Templates: The Good, The Bad, The Amazing.

I’ve been watching a few online producers videos from YouTube and stumbled across the use of templates to streamline your workflow. However, as I look into my own DAW Reason, my questions are tremendous. Where do I start? What problems am I trying to solve? What should be my template setup? How many...

Propellerhead Reason Meet Up Los Angeles

Hello all, I’m considering hosting a free composer and artist meet up in Los Angeles. Ideally it will be a meet up to connect local artists and music producers who are looking to discover new talent and sounds for potential projects and networking. The event will be 21 and over with free drinks, foo...

Re: What is the best way to Copy a Block from another song into your current project?

Copy and paste can be a bit weird in Reason. Usually what I'll do is open both sessions in two windows and from the session, I want information from ’select all’ then copy. I'll even sometimes use the options in from the menu tab. Then go into the second window and then paste. I haven't had any issu...

Since those RE's are free, easy to manage, install, reinstall and keep track, I suggest you download all of them and try them out. KHS are my go to freebies in RE format. TDR and BlueCat have some very useful free VST's And I jsut learned that you can download Native Instruments Reaktor player FREE...

Re: What’s In Your Racks?

Little LFO is a must. I bought it before it was free, but I'm sort of happy I did because the developers really deserved the humble amount of money they asked for this nice, versatile and easy to use product anyway: https://shop.propellerheads.se/rack-extension/little-lfo/ I agree. I copped me the ...

Re: EUROPA SYNTHESIZER - 808 Patches

Here is a good starter to make any kind of kicks. The typical basic stuff is in there. I used all 3 osc to create a punchy attack on top, the basic kick, a top end and some noise stuff to make it a bit unpredictable. Also EQ, reverb and compression are added. All things can be used to shape the sou...

Hello,

I’m looking for a good 808 like patch for the Europa Shapeshifting Synthesizer rack for Reason. If anyone happens to have a patch they can spare, please help. You are greatly appreciated!

Re: Sound Design Help

You mean the Kick/Bass starting at 5:02? Maybe i'm wrong but this is only closely related to a 808 Kick. Sounds to me like a saturated FM Type Basssynth layered with the short Transient of either an 808 or 909 Kick for the knock. The Bending can be easily achieved by using an LFO (Key triggerd or B...

Sound Design Help

Hello, I'm in need of some help.. I am trying to create/find the name of this type of 808 sub kick. Also is there anyone here who can tell me what I can do in Reason to help accomplish the "pitch bending" methods to get the same effect on my 808 kicks? I know I can use the Mod Wheel, but I feel like...
