It's better than it looks on screenshots, when you actually use it.

Re: Eventide Instant Flanger/Phaser II: Any opinions?

I really love their reverbs (Blackhole, UltraReverb, SP2016), and most of their other plugins sound great as well. I wasn't too impressed by Instant Phaser though, to me, it sort of has a lo-fi vintage sound I don't quite dig. My favorite Phaser by far is the Softube Fix Phaser, that one sounds abso...

Re: Reveal Sound Spire (ReSpire) update 1.0.6 is out

@EnochLight: It will surely take some time until v2 is being released (i wouldn't count on it before end of this year, or next year). I'm sure it'll be a nice update though. :) As far as i know, they deinitely plan to implement wavetable oscillators, e.g., with the ability to import waveforms or wav...

Re: Reveal Sound Spire (ReSpire) update 1.0.6 is out

Here's a little heads up from the Reveal Sound KVR support forum on the development of the RE, and VST version of Spire, from the developers: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7282354#p7282354 Apart from that, version 2 of Spire will probably see a lot of other improvements and addition...

Re: Reveal Sound Spire (ReSpire) update 1.0.6 is out

I can only comment on the VST, which is one of my favorite soft synths, and, people probably already grow tired of my notorious recommendations in forums. :D They also had some issues with CPU usage, so, they rewrote the core, and released a 1.1 version of it, which cut the CPU use in half or 1/3. I...

Re: Does this hardware synth exist?

I'd say the DeepMind 6, but you want every parameter controlled by a physical knob. Unfortunately, the DeepMinds have some menu diving. I also think that the DeepMind 6 is the closest to what the OP is looking for. It's analog, it has some voices, and it has many controls, with some menu diving. It...

Re: Juno-106 Editor VST

Raymondh may have a good point about the MIDI out requirement of the VST. I never tried it, but, it may not work because of it in Reason. If it is correct that VST's in Reason still don't support MIDI out, of course.

Re: Anyone use Largo?

IMO (i had the Blofeld for a couple of days, and compared it to Largo, they're 98% the same, sound wise (which is also been stated in this article: https://modulatethis.com/2011/07/23/waldorf-largo-vs-blofeld/). I found that Largo sounds a tad more bright, while the bass boost adds a little more bas...

The Panorama P4 should have a much better display, keyboard and pads. The Impact LX series is the budget keyboard line from Nektar, really.

I know those ad issues from another forum. Only happens on the mobile forum website there as well. I don't know how exactly Google Adsense works, but, i could imagine that the risk of having such ad providers in the "package" will be bigger on smaller websites or forums, because the ad providers don...

Re: Switching DAWs

Unless it's a known issue that Reason stops working after Windows 10 updates (i don't think so), you should consider the possibility that there's a problem on your end. Maybe try to fix that first, before thinking about switching DAW's. This is the first time i read about something like that, so, it...

Yep, thats one point. The delay time could be shorter too. Dont get me wrong, it sounds good, but i like it a bit more tweakable.
Alright, that's fair enough. Actually, for $99 regular price, it seems a tad too much for what you get.

How come? In my opinion, it sounds absolutely superb, and is well among the best sounding plate reverbs out there. Wished it had a pre-delay parameter though.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that Reveal Sound have got loadsa money. Not sure if they have "loads" of money (who does really, developing audioware?), but, they probably make the most money with their soundset shop now. I'm a little disappointed TBH, that they announced a lot of additional funci...

Re: No Scrollbars on VST Instruments

I don't think the problem is the implementation. In VST only hosts, there is the same issue. Unless the VST's author inteded the interface to scroll, there is no way to change this, i believe. Many VST's come with a sizable interface these days though, simply because the desktop standard is 1920x108...

Point taken. :) Except when the RE format does something different than the VST format. I wonder why Spire wouldn't sound the same though, because they surely took the sound creating algorithms, and put them 1:1 in the RE.

I will try the normalising and do the null test. Then post the results here. Very curious about the result. Frankly, i was kind of surprised how lo-fi Antidote sounded when i tried it. Reminded me of Thor. The interesting thing about that is that it was a "side-product" of Dune 2, and Dune 2 surely...
