Re: Are players useful with RRP?
How I'd like this to work is when you put a vst plugin on a track, its container should have a button called 'use as midi plugin', you turn it on and it works like a native midi plugin...that is you can put other vsts after it on the same track... thats not how it works though. But its a minor inco...

[quote=tomusurp post_id=621421 time=1666286941 user_id=27421 basically what you are saying, and correct me if i'm wrong, is that when I do shift to another chord, let's use the chords in your example, is that for a top single note melody I should use one of the scale that specific chord belongs to? ...

Re: Please help me understand Music Theory + Chord Sequencer
This is a very deep subject - but my takeaway is that you have choices. You can play dissonant while remaining in key (try looping a C chord and playing nothing but B's against it - B is definitely in the key of C, but it is a dissonant note) or you can make consonant notes sound less consonant by d...

Re: Reason Financials 2021
I'm not sure how much of this is unexpected in year 1 of a pivot to a subscription model. Take 10K people that would have paid $129 every other year for an upgrade and 10K new users buying a new license at $299 and start charging them $10 or $20 per month instead, it takes a few months or even over ...

Re: Amplitube or Guitar Rig?
I have Amplitube 5 and Guitar Rig 4, so I'm not quite comparing the latest and greatest here as I've heard GR5 has improvements: I find Amplitube 5's amp sounds to be significantly better but GR4 to be significantly easier and more fun to use - even getting to the tuner in A5 is a hassle. When I wan...

Re: Reason Studios Chord Sequencer in the shop
Is there any logic to how the chords for a given set are allocated across the 16 pads? Thinking of creating some chord collections of my own and curious about best practice such that they aren't just laid out sequentially in order from the song I took them from. Also thinking a randomize button that...

Thanks for taking the time to test this for me.huggermugger wrote: ↑13 Jun 2022I opened your file, but sorry, same thing for me. "Missing Plugin". Although I've got Neutron 3 and I can add one to the project, I can't get at the setting of your instance of it.
I'll respond back if we ever get to the bottom of this.

Re: Can any Neutron 3 owners help me troubleshoot an issue?
Have you asked Reason support on this issue? They might be able to figure this out when giving them one file with the missing plugin error and one file with a newly inserted neutron3. Yes, I've sent Reason support a ticket with a similar session (with two N3 instances, one working but not working) ...

Can any Neutron 3 owners help me troubleshoot an issue?
In addition to raising the issue here: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7528243 I've engaged support, but no answers so far. There is no evidence that the Neutron 3 VST has been updated, renamed, or changed. My issue is that on existing Reason projects (Studio One has no issue), all ...

Re: "Enabled" VST plugin missing from projects
Just a wild guess, but could an update of the izotope plugins have made some incompatible changes to the plugin name or version? Or might there be two different versions of those plugins installed in different paths which both get scanned by Reason? Thanks for the brainstorm. There are two Neutron3...

"Enabled" VST plugin missing from projects
Hi all - Any help troubleshooting a new issue (for me), replicated on significant number of existing song files, each with many instances of Neutron 3 (and related lower footprint VSTs like Neutron Equalizer. Other Izotope products, like Nectar, appear to not be impacted). The VST plugin is installe...

Re: Automating Redrum pattern changes in Studio One
With Dr. Octorex you can switch slots by notes, with Redrum you can´t. But now, with R12 combi 2 you can when putting the Redrum into the combi. https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7524537&p=571941#p571941 Wow - that is really clever. I just went from skipping this upgrade to debating ...

Re: Delta MIDI Computer
As a result of all of the above Delta is not actually polyphonic, at least not technically, and is what I would call "parallel mono". When a chord is processed by Delta, each note has to be treated as if they were coming in one at a time. They can occur very closely together, or even on the same fr...

Re: Delta MIDI Computer (January 17, 2020: version 1.3 is out now! New Node!)
Hi new Delta owner since May Madness - very happy! In a use case where I'm feeding Delta with chords (perhaps through Scales & Chords or maybe an arpeggiator) is it possible to alter specific notes in the chord? I'm thinking IF/THEN statements like: if 3 concurrent notes are input, then raise the hi...

Sending MIDI CC info in Studio One
I'm trying to send a Pulsar LFO to modulate an an effect parameter on an audio track in Studio One. No luck thusfar.
In the video announcing MIDI Out from the RRP, Ryan mentioned that not all hosts support MIDI CC across plugins. Is Studio One on the list of those that cannot?

Re: Automating Redrum pattern changes in Studio One
You don't have to be precise, though. 0 - 0.125 is 1st pattern, 0.126 - 0.250 is 2nd, 0.251 - 0.375 is 3rd and so on... Fair enough - no need for me to be precise about hitting .125 just because it is a round number and it is easy to be close enough with 8 patterns. But Redrum has 32 patterns and t...

Re: Automating Redrum pattern changes in Studio One
How is this difficult? Just divide the range by number of available patterns and you'll get the idea where they are. If there's say 8 patterns available in the device, then for a range of 0-1 pattern will change with 0.125 increments. First-world problems I suppose, but I found it difficult to be p...

Re: Automating Redrum pattern changes in Studio One
Thanks for the help. I guess the thing to do is record the automation I want and then cut and paste it around to different parts of the song I was hoping there was something more elegant - ReWire was always clunky in many ways, but it did allow me to use the parts of the Reason sequencer that I liked.

Automating Redrum pattern changes in Studio One
Hi all - I've tried a few approaches and can get to the point where I have the option to automate pattern selection on my Studio One track, but the patterns appear to be represented as a decimal number between 0 and 1 and I have no idea where, say, pattern A4 will land without trial and error. Is th...
