Have you checked your power saving settings? Windows sometimes resets those back to balanced after updates. Also if it only occurs in R12: Make sure your GPU driver is up to date.

Usually you'd need at least the same version of Reason or a later/newer one.

For audio clips you can disable stretch. for MIDI it might work to copy the clip from one Project to another one with the changed BPM.

Have a look at the combinator programmer: Thor should not receive the midi notes. Also have a look at the oscillator modules of Thor. As you can see I removed those as one would not want to have Thor generate any sound by itself.
