Re: Announcing Reason 11
IMHO the Rack Plugin is a great move. - Ableton sell a rack thing for Max - Bitwig added a rack module - VCVRack reached version 1.0 - KiloHearts is really similar to the Rack Plugin (500€ for the ultimate and it's not even a DAW ;) ). - BTW really well made. Compared to Reason, they all feel "meh"....

Better usability for Tool Window
I think the adorable tool window have been a forgotten, and need some little improvements to feel loved again 🧡. Usability - Some elements increase and decrease with drag and drop (like the ones in the Pitch section) while others doesn't (Like the ones in the Velocity Section) - Sometimes I like to ...

If you just need to move the note one octave up or down, put the kong or the redrum inside a combinator.

Re: Make it go slower!
Very very happy to see this upgrade. I will test soon as possible.
I still don't understand the version numbering. Adding hyperthreading support is a little more than a 0.0.1 upgrade for me :p

Re: iZotope Products?
I have the Music Production Bundle 2 and it's totally unusable on Reason compared to Cubase 9. For totally unusuable i mean 5 instance of neutron, totally kill the machine, while on cubase i don't hear a glitch. It's not a fair comparison because i'm comparing a Vst 2.4 (in Reason) to a Vst3 (in Cu...

This is all you need https://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/xmousebuttoncontrol.htm What is it? It's an utility to remap your mouse buttons exactly how you want with different presets for any application. It's A LOT better than any logitech or microsoft mouse driver and it can also be portable. I've u...

Re: The Inception Sound and The Marvel Symphonic Universe (and a bonus)
In the human mind Low crescendo rumble => danger => Pay attention. Zimmer know well this trick and have created a style for almost a decade with those big horns and hybrid orchestral music (imho). Many people tried to copy it, but you can't take just a note and a sample library to be a composer. It'...

[Bug] Function keys from F16-F24 are not assignable

Re: Does it actually matter how many tracks are in a song?
In every mixing tutorial i've seen on my life, i've heard "Track count doesn't matter at all". And for my humble personal experience, it's absolutely true. I've seen 40 tracks mix for a guitar and voice song, but i also seen a 10 tracks mix for a dance track. Your personal workflow make the differen...

Re: Selecting a device for MIDI input
Options -> Additional Remote override -> Target Next/previous Track In this way will follow the sequencer selection also when you are in the rack or mixer view If you don't want change this option every time, you can create a .reason template file or edit the .remote file for your MIDI controller. T...

Re: 2 Nektar controllers
For my experience, Reason handle well any controller combinations, but you can have only one master keyboard (the one that play on current sequencer selection) You can lock any non-master keyboard to a specific device in the rack. In my setup i have Arturia Minilab MK1 (usually locked to drums) Laun...

never, I wish I could delete it. You can actually do it. Options -> Deselect "Enable Blocks". But before doing it, give another shot to their workflow. It's obvious you didn't dig enough on this feature :) I only see unnecessary complication with the Blocks. :) But I guess for some kind of music it...
