Yes can't agree more, there are plugins that I paid for which are nowhere close this beast.hamsterfactor wrote: ↑09 Dec 2023I've had Surge since before XT. Yes, it's "big."
Glad to see continued development for a free, open source synth.

SurgeXT (Free, Big and Open Source) Update Released
This synthesizer is super and the best part of it is open source and free. Yesterday it received a hefty update with a ton of features.
I recommend you try this out.

Re: Ableton Live 12
I have finally decided to add Ableton as a DAW to work with for live performances. I have been using Reason since ever, and combining it with a Nektar Panorama's Transport Looper, it has worked wonders. Given I am currently dependent on one solution I had to seek a more conventional way to fire soun...

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
Following this update I have seen a major improvement in performance, especially when opening multiple projects at one go. The fact that now we have the option to choose the number of cores is letting my laptop breath, and if something loads in the background it does not impact Reason. The CPU is ba...

Re: Izotope Ozone 10 No VST 2 Support...
Might still be worth upgrading (now as opposed to whenever RS lands VST3 support) if the stand-alone app imports and exports well. Lately I've been mastering using the Ozone 9 VST2 hosted by Reason, but only because the stand-alone app isn't exporting properly for me. Just as a small note, in Ozone...

Change Device Groups
Hi
Is there a way how you can change the device group names in reason?
I have an issue with Izotope where I have 3 entries:
iZotope
iZotope, Inc
iZotope, Inc.
Is there a way how I can change this?
Thanks
Noel

Nektar Panorama P Series Windows 11 Compatibility
Hi,
I am considering upgrading my laptop to Windows 11. Are there any known issues related to the Nektar Panorama P series considering that it's been a while since the last driver update.
Thanks

Re: Nektar Panorama Remote Maps Thread
Hi Carly, Yes I tried using your mapping however it is not working properly on my P6 in such a way I had to revert back to the original. One example is that the buttons under the sliders, in order to work I have to press twice to set them off and only once to set the respective button on Not sure i...

Re: Nektar Panorama Remote Maps Thread
Hey guys, I am currently working on a project and I could not work with the mapping of the Combinator 2 and I had to switch to the original mapping file. However the default mapping supports only 4 knobs and 4 switches, which is not enough. So I attempted to map at least another 4 buttons and 4 swi...

Re: MIDI-CV Converter and MIDI Performance Data
Yes, the player device only listens to midi note data, this is a shame and I hope this will be looked at in a future RE sdk update. On a side note, other devices, Instruments, Utilities and I believe Effects can listen to midi performance data and as my first rack extension I am looking building a ...

MIDI-CV Converter and MIDI Performance Data
Hi, I am currently using a Rack Extension called MIDI-CV converter, which makes CV routing easier and cleaner. One important limitation, which based on the documentation is due to a limitation in the Rack Extension SDK, is that the MIDI performance data (such as sustain, modulation etc) is not passe...

Re: Reason 12: New Combinator Mixer should have a volume and pan knobs per channel
Why not? It's a good suggestion and considered as a basic feature. No one is asking for AUX's, fx. So yes I agree. I think he may mean that the subject was WELL discussed during beta, so "here we go AGAIN" may be more accurate if I'm understanding Loque's point! YES, the mixer needs mute/solo like ...

Hey guys, I had a look at the combinator and I must say that this is a huge change, and I was also surprised to see a built in mixer as part of the combinator. It would be great if the built-in mixer also has a volume knob and pan (L/R) per channel. The rest is just wow. Cheers Noel I think the sim...
