Re: Guess The Synth Challenge

This is fun. I knew the first one right away. Sounds like a Jiggery organ! Very recognizable. I don't know what synth the last example is, but it sure is a creepy sound! It makes me want this synth if I don't have it. Based on your clues, I would say Algoritm, but it doesn't particularly sound like ...

Re: (New EP / Electronic) - Unknown Species

Great stuff. "Squashed" and "Preparation" just get me pumped. The drums are so nice. The mix sounds huge. Yes, compatible with game music me thinks as well. A lot of your stuff is I think. But, still it's great music in it's own right. Solid work as always Tritone. Very interesting collection of dev...

I do songs too, but I'm not hugely successful. I just do songs for the love of the game.

Thanks. I was actually more inspired by this tune than any Prodigy material. It's an old Amiga 500 tune. They aren't very similar except for a few things: that rock edge, the low sample rate sound and their sample based nature. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rm0eTagViU I actually have hopes of ma...

Auryn, you DO love your echos and delays. I remember. And in fact, you are partially the reason I have gotten more into delays in general. When you do that remix of my track, it became clear to me that I should be having more fun using them. :D It's still one of my favourite collabs! I regularly se...

Re: Reason 11 glitching suddenly

Jittering pitchbend or strange modwheel action usually originates from an ageing midi controller that is sending bogus data (due to worn out or dirty potentiometers on those controls). To be sure that this is not the case and to pinpoint which device might be causing it: Try to disconnect your (USB...

Re: (RX1200 track) - In The Wild

I really enjoyed this one. It's very interesting to hear your style coming through on a device using samples - something you don't usually do (except for drums). I like the fact that though it's really geared towards the hip hop crowd, you showed that it doesn't have to be hip hop only. Also, I love...

Wow what a crazy frantic sounding track! The dnb really does work with this. The energy makes me want to bounce around the room and start throwing chairs - IN A GOOD WAY, if that makes sense. Good stuff Popey and Tritone. If I may ask Tritone, why do you want to remove it from soundcloud?! It's good...

Re: Mixing feedback wanted - (Electronic mess)

Sounds awesome as it is to me. I don't really have anything constructive to add, plus I'm not the best judge of mixes. Many of mine have been all over the place - sometimes somethings way too loud, or the drums just disappear into the mix. Part of that is because I can get too ambitious and try to d...

Great track! I love the bendy bassline. It all sounds to me like a live improvised jam session. Great vibe here. Love those little conga fills that occur here and there, and all the other little elements that come and go. Objekt is such a great device. This is the kind of stuff Objekt was made for m...

Re: Ekssperimental Sounds SPACEXPANDER - Spring Reverb

While there's always going to be a use case for everyone that - to them at least - is more important, I actually think Ekss' design choices are half of what make his devices look so good. You definately get a general feeling that it's extrememly well thought out and in genral, usage is made simple ...

Re: Ekssperimental Sounds SPACEXPANDER - Spring Reverb

Maybe you have the update but don't realise. The option to change IRs on the front is rather stealthy. Do you see a letter on the left side of the patch name display? That's where you change it. Just click and drag. There's not an obvious dropdown menu or anything. Also, check the rear. Do you have...

Re: Which Reason Devices would make it on their own

What exactly are the limitations of their SDK? Well a glaring one is that the SDK doesn't support their own REX/RX2 file format so you can't load sliced audio into Mimic, their audio slicing sampler. The built-in devices in Reason can handle REX files but an RE cannot and Mimic is an RE. They could...

Re: Ekssperimental Sounds SPACEXPANDER - Spring Reverb

Actually in RE land, I use Ekss FX3180 Spring Reverb way more than SpaceXpander. But it's as simple/bare bones as they come. Just level and mix, that's it. I almost got it, but I snoozed too long and missed the sale, plus I spent enough on other things (ES400 FM Synthesizer, Friktion, Efektor Bass ...

I have no idea. But I'm running 3 screens on this rig, two 2K screens and one 4K screen. So with only one screen, I guess 2 GGB should suffice.
Wow. Thats impressive. Yeah, I'm just running an old fashioned 1080p. So 2 GB SHOULD suffice.

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?

I have an i7 cpu PC thats about 7 years old now, so maybe that's too old. However, I do have a more that adequate (GeForce GTX 960), so I would think it could easily handle the graphics. My studio machine is an i7 with a GTX970, no problems running Reason 12 here. Interesting. Then I have no idea w...
