Buying and Selling VST's Second hand
Greetings, so now that VST's are in reason, one really nice thing is that many of them are transferrable as opposed to rack extensions... One of the great door openers for me leaving reason and discovering KVR a few years ago was trading VST's second hand. If you discover that you're not using a plu...

Re: Three new Rigs in the Shop ( Expanded Versions)
Question, what happens if you own a rig v1? Do you get the update for free? Or is there an upgrade path? 79€ upgrade price says the shop :) Cool, well anyways, seeing as I've bought most of the good stuff they added in these rigs this would be more negative than positive for me. I would say this co...

Re: Selling 2nd hand Rack Extensions
I assume they avoid it mostly because of a possible huge increase in support (meaning higher costs) as people trade their stuff back and forth and things go wrong/people try to scam/etc... But I sure hope so, that would give the format more legitimacy as you're not making an irreversible investment ...

Re: VST's - Reason discussion
There was never a 3.5 version. Do you mean 2.5? My memory must be failing me. Could have sworn it was 3.5, probably mean 3.0. To the_G, yes the VST/AU "rack unit" (much like the external instrument thingie) is probably the way they could do it to make it fit the best within Reason, that could in th...

Re: VST's - Reason discussion
Lots of opinions already, here's mine: I tried using Logic as a master and Reason as slave, but after trying it out for a week or two I just tended to not bother anymore. TBH if you have good plugins for your daw, then Reason is not worth the hassle for the individual instruments, even though some ...

Selling Reason 7
Greetings,
I'm selling my Reason 7 License, price is ~175$
Reason 7 is a very good version to be at and if you wait for Reason 9 before you update, then this is a very good price to get into reason. (Noticed another for sale post in this forum so it seemed to be the right place for it).

Re: Reason really slows my workflow? I think this ship has finally sailed
I can only agree, this ship has sailed. For me it was 2 MAJOR things that was the drop. #1 no VST support, meaning being severely limited compared to almost all other daws out there in the world today. #2 no reselling of RE's ,meaning the longer you stay, the deeper the hole you're digging yourself ...

Re: 30% Off all Rob Papen Rack Extensions+Quad Update
Recently I've been switching over to Logic from Reason and found that some RE devs does not allow you to get a discount if you want the same unit as VST/AU, (which i find pretty disturbing since you've essentially paid once already for it, it's essentially the same product even though unfortunately ...

Re: Who has been your favourite developer for 2015?
Favorite: Rob Papen (also extra cred for offering discounts to RE owners moving over to VST/AU units) Chip64 is probably my most used (although i have some complaints regarding basic playability stuff like mono/poly mode with retrig/legato and sustain pedal support, + some of the knobs are really un...

Logic Pro X question (multiple track lanes?)
Yo! So, recently I've been using Logic Pro X a lot, been researching going for a ReWire solution. One of the workflow features from Reason I've been reaching for the most in Logic is to have multiple track lanes (for midi data/automation/etc) for a single instrument and being able to mute individual...

Re: Little 'eureka!' moments with Reason
wait till you get into paralleling... ;-) Wanna share your best way of parallell processing? The spider/routing way is getting a bit tedious :) I also tried a way with bus routing, but that led to the mute/solo buttons on the mixer not really working very well since when you split the signal, it do...

Re: Unofficial VST support for Reason, possible?
vst requires a host program, so there's no way around having a second daw. This part not entirely true. I use a plugin player; not another DAW. And many plugins that are available as VSTs are also available as standalone. I'm giving this method a shot and also using soundflower to route the audio, ...

Unofficial VST support for Reason, possible?
Hello, I absolutely love Reason, and I am one of those users that are really annoyed at the lack of VST support. Seeing as there's not a high probability of it ever being added officially, I've heard of the different "hack" ways of getting them in there. The ReWire way and the external midi instrume...

Re: The Black Friday 2015 (Getting Ready Thread) .
I've been saving up for a while now, I really hope this one will be at least 50% off on black friday https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/spacre-blank-plate/ That's very unlikely, as the lowest price a dev can set in the shop is 9 €/$ (used to be 7.5€/9$). The next lower tier is "free". Besides w...

Re: For Reason 7 Users, What feature will make you to upgrade to Reason 9?
I came up with a feature request for R9. The ability to fully disable a set of devices, like select a mixchannel and choose disable, and it will disable all directly connected devices (which in turn could turn then B&W in the rack or something similar) (i realize this wont be 100% easy to solve beca...

Re: D16 announce Devastor 2 in Rack Extension!!
Looks exciting! Is it safe to assume it will be at least 39$/EUR since the vst of v1 is that price? Will be trialing for sure but might put this on the long-term wishlist.

Re: For Reason 7 Users, What feature will make you to upgrade to Reason 9?
I realize this thread is directed at R7 users, but as someone who recently upgraded to R8, and hadn't planned to (a friend had an upgrade, gave it to me for cheap), it is impossible for me to overstate how huge of an impact the new browser has had to my workflow. Not only is it faster, but I use dr...

Re: For Reason 7 Users, What feature will make you to upgrade to Reason 9?
I'll buy it on day one pretty much no matter what features it will bring, got so many new RE's that R7 feels like R12 already, but I want the new R8 features as well. (Got into 7 at a bad timing so didn't feel like jumping on 8) I've waited this long so I might as well wait until 9 appears, a pretty...

8.3 update
props seem pretty determined to herd the stray sheep (R7 users) back into the flock :) lol, surely to make R9 a paid upgrade its going to have to be fairly monumental ? I'm all for continous updates, love it, but R7 is awesome and I have sooo many new REs that it feels like Reason 10 already. if t...
