Re: Apple M2 Studio stupidly powerful, M3 will be ridiculous
M3 Max on the way. Arriving 25-29 (the weekend I'm away, classic lol). Also, somewhat related, I picked up Logic a few days ago and I'm actually in love with it. Finally a DAW that has all the things I like about Reason, Cubase and Live all in one place. I love that you can put Reason as a MIDI FX ...

Re: Apple M2 Studio stupidly powerful, M3 will be ridiculous
I think I mentioned this in another post but I'm JUST on the verge of pulling the trigger on a 16" M3 Max 64GB 8TB. It's scary because it's a huge outlay (for me) *but* I am missing a lot of things about music making on Mac. Being able to get the same latency and performance on a train with a mini k...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
Ok I think we should take this to hardware. Reason runs at a live buffer at all times, I would be using the Focusrite USB at no lower than 128 personally for a good balance. latencymon is easy, it will tell you if it fails, and if it does, then you can take a screenshot for me., I think move it to ...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
What are your specs just out of interest? I have an i7 11700 w 64GB DDR4 and an RTX3070. On Windows 10 I could stream to Twitch, have browsers open and Reason at 64 samples no problem. Now, I get clicks and pops with just Reason open and like 2-3 tracks of audio. Really bumming me out. All my other...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
I chose Ableton Live instead. I realize it doesn't have lifetime free upgrades (which is not unique to FL Studio, BTW), but it does tend to be one of the most - if not THE MOST - popular DAW on the market. And Push 3 does look very tempting. But I digress... isnt it weird how ableton has barely mor...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
I am incredibly impressed how well Reason is performing across high core counts and with vst plugins. Incredibly impressed. It is bang in line with Cubendo 13. That was always one of my issues, so now that that's fixed, my needs are a bit simple. All I really want is ARA2 compatibility for Melodyne...

Loop slicers
Hey all, anyone got any good recommendations for loop slicers with similar functionality to Simpler in Slice mode? It's surprisingly hard to find a VST that's just...simple. I'm looking for something that has; Chop by beat/grid Time stretch or re-pitch One-shot/latch mode Why is this so elusive? I'v...

I don't even know what happened but it sounds like you've been through some stuff man, and nobody is at their best when contending with any kind of illness. Physical or mental or whatever. So welcome back, and really happy to hear you've found music again. Look forward to your contributions around h...

Re: Bitspeek on account but not showing in Reason
You know what...I am either a dumbass, or I need more sleep. Or possibly both. I *thought* I'd downloaded the Speak n Spell rack extension. Good lord. Sorry, yes Bitspeek is in there. How embarrassing haha.huggermugger wrote: ↑18 Mar 2024Did u check all three categories? Instruments, Effects and Utilities?

[solved] Bitspeek on account but not showing in Reason
Hey all! As in title, downloaded and installed in Companion but not showing up in Reason 12. Any ideas? Mac Monterey.

Should add that Live 12 just added latency correction in recording. Haven’t managed to try it yet myself despite owning a license but just haven’t had time.

Re: Bouncing mixer channels with fx
FX returns are not printed into each bounced channel. This is the case in most DAWs (Live being the exception, as it will include every tracks FX return into each stem individually). Your best bet would be to just solo each track in turn and export manually. You can speed this up a bit by creating b...

Re: Live 12 Today!
I'll be interested in your views on the new browser. It seems to be somewhat splitting the crowd. I'll be waiting for a sale and for them to have ironed out any blatant bugs before I consider upgrading. It's hard to justify as I really only use it for idea sketching in the session view but I'll end...

Live 12 Today!
Finally got the download on my account. I hear that the Push 2 will be updated to incorporate as many features from Push 3 as possible, including the full session view and...I'm hoping...clip/note editing. I'm about to find out! Anyone else got this arriving in their account today? And did anyone el...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
Just had a look at the site on my desktop, overall I like it. I get that it's a more 'youthful' approach to site design but it looks vibrant. I'd agree the massive video that auto plays is maybe a bit visually over-stimulating? Either ease into it or have something a bit more chill. But beyond that ...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
I’m browsing on mobile atm - a few images aren’t loading (or perhaps aren’t present; “flip the rack” for example) but mostly I think it looks good! Maybe some areas where the formatting could be a bit cleaned up but it certainly looks a lot more engaging than the old site. I’ll check it on desktop w...

I do like Combi 2 but I feel like they could've gone further with it. Snapshots, stepped knobs, exclusive button groups, XY and ribbon controllers, readouts/displays.

Reason 12 Performance
Hey all, I know there was another thread similar to this recently and I even posted what I thought might be a solution but honestly I'm just not entirely sure if everything is as it should be. Here's what I mean. Specs are; i7 11700 (not new I know but, decent enough) 64GB DDR4 RTX3070 18i20 3rd Gen...

Re: Slate VSX Users?
I have them here too, was very surprised how useful they've become over the months! My advice: You don't need the VSX plug at all for tracking, right? so just finish up those guitars and track work and then only add VSX when its mix/master time. at that time you can just bump up the buffer to 256 o...

Slate VSX Users?
Hey! I just got these a few days ago - first impressions are that they're very cool. I pretty much forget I'm wearing headphones. Only thing I'm experiencing atm is what I consider to be quite a high CPU load. Admittedly I'm running at 64 samples but that's required for guitar. I'm getting like 25-2...

Re: Solutions for a small hardware synth collection
Nice Phillip, they look cool too. For now I've just got a storage shelf that I can pull things off when I wanna use them one at a time. My workflow is *mainl* software but I think if I just have 2-4 channels hooked up on the desk and ready to patch in for sampling or jamming between a couple of devi...

Re: Solutions for a small hardware synth collection
Also tried to put things on my desk (and get a bigger desk) and it only increased my anxiety. A bought a modular IKEA shelf and it works like a dream. Adjust the shelves and number of them to suit. It also helps hiding cables and easier to plug things in and out if you need to. IMG-20240213-WA0006....

Solutions for a small hardware synth collection
Hey all! So I have a little collection of fun hardware synths (Deepmind 12D, Neutron, a few Volcas, TR-6S, MC-101, Mini and Microfreak, might try to get my hands on a Boutique or three). Atm my plan is to just have them kinda on display on a nice shelving unit and then just plug them in to sample as...

Re: Audio crackling/pop
Just to jump in here and say I have experienced the same since going to Windows 11. The best way to describe it for me is that Reason seems extra sensitive to *anything* else happening on the system, like opening a new window, scrolling, opening/closing an application, etc. All while CPU was hardly ...
