Thanks, i'm still learning how to use this, I'll make sure to do that going forward :s0959:Just fyi, you don't need to put youtube vids into html tags, just put the link in there by itself and it will automatically work.

Which one has better value Reason+Rigs $846 or Komplete Ultimate $999
Sorta like comparing apples and oranges as Reason is a dedicated DAW environment so logically you should be first comparing what DAW's are available and suited to your liking and adapting anything you want to add in the future to it. Whilst there are various ways to get VST /instrument sounds/ othe...

Funny you ask.... here you go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cY6iSnyyYas
Bare in mind this is on a MAC. I don't use a PC in my studio so it might be different, especially the Hosting AU program.

Which one has better value Reason+Rigs $846 or Komplete Ultimate $999
why not have both? I mean, have Reason as your DAW, and get Komplete as your sound sources. Thats how I use my studio, Reason is my only DAW, and i'm using loopback on my Focusrite Saffire pro 40 to route the audio triggered from Reasons midi out for Komplete instruments (Kontakt, Massive etc) an...

Instructions on using UAD plugins REAL-TIME with Reason (No rewiring or bouncing required)
It of course depends on the plugins you are putting your mix through, but most are designed to give you some type of warmth be it Studer or Ampex tape, Neve 1073 pre amp etc. Just putting the reason signal through into the UAD and back doesn't add anything discernible but Apparently the Manley EQ pl...

I think i'll keep it then :-) I was originally looking at the UAD satellite DUO but then I couldn't get a straight answer as to whether or not i could reamp using it. Seeing as that and the Apollo twin were about the same price, i picked the apollo twin duo. now i gotta figure out which plugins i ...

haha its all good man. All of what I wrote was in jest anyway to have some fun, I wasn't being mean spirited... If I was I apologize, no harm no foul. Your right tho... most UAD users would know how it works, it was the routing from Reason that seemed to have most of the people I know stumped. Im ...

Hey Ostermilk.... You're reply was a bit uncalled for, No? There is nothing misleading about my post. Its mentioned in my reply to Puckboy that you need UAD hardware. I also mentioned myself in the OP I own the twin Duo. Sorry but I cant fit the whole topic in the title so you don't have to click ...

You could always get the apollo twin SOLO ($500 used) as your UAD card, because again as long as your firewire has optical out you will use those inputs and not the UAD's. They only thing is the more expensive plugins require lots of DSP, and the SOLO only has one DSP chip (Hence the SOLO name) Mine...

Yes. I was in the same boat as you. You will need UAD hardware, thats the only thing. And it aint cheap :-( But IMO its so worth it. Your firewire if it has ADAT/Optical out, then you could slave the UAD and use the inputs of the firewire for extra inputs and route them to the UAD. Thats how my stu...

Hey guys, Wondered if anyone has been trying to use the UAD suite of plugins in Reason, without the need to bounce tracks or rewire into another host (Logic/Reaper/Ableton etc). Well, I finally figured it out and wanted to share. Maybe some of you could benefit. Here's the easy to follow instructi...

IGN Denmark is featuring Reason for game sound design
It's no wonder. I've used Reason for game music (Dance Dance revolution 2) & Currently use Reason 100% for my flimscore & Trailer work (Which by the way Mattias please have a word and get a built in video player in R9 PLEEEASE) Reason is just so much easier to use than all the others for me. I'll c...

Any UAD Apollo with Reason users out there??
I plan to use just one track of processing at a time (What i'm doing now with external VST's) And then print the audio in reason one track at a time. That way I can focus on just one track/effect and it will save valuable DSP inside the Apollo.
Thats my plan anyway

Any UAD Apollo with Reason users out there??
Hey guys, I just purchased a UAD Apollo twin DUO to use in Reason. I've found a cool way to route the audio out of reason, and into the UAD Console software to apply UAD effects, and record back in (Thanks to users on this site and others). This does not involve bouncing out the audio or using rewir...

also, I hear lots of artifacts, blips and stuff when routing into most effects. even with buffer size back to 512 on both reason and sound flower.
Do you know of a way to hit a sweet spot with no artifacts?

Thanks for this.
I changed the settings to what you showed but there is still about half a second delay even with reason buffer size at 64 samples, and sound flower 64ch also set to 64.
What have you been getting? Do you hear yours almost zero?

THANK YOU SO MUCH QVprod!!! I see exactly what you mean about the horrible latency. Its about 1 second from the audio hitting the effect and back again. Its maybe workable for some things but not for most. I didn't realize it would be this bad and I now totally understand why you recommend having a...

Hey guys, So I am close to cracking the "Do it ALL in Reason" workflow where I will be able to use Reason 100% for everything without rewiring to another DAW. It does work I use this method all the time. Be sure that your system can handle it, and don't close down the From project files, before you have successfully pasted into the To project (If that makes sense?)onedogdan wrote:I thought I tried that and it didn't work, but I'll try again. Thanks all!

Question:Can REASON used a DSP audio card ?
Going to an external USB interface will almost surely solve your noise problem. Plus, good ones, which you can get starting at about $100-$150, will include ASIO drivers. That'll hopefully free up some CPU time to make more DSP available for Reason. Thanks. I'm looking at the Focusrite scarlette so...
