Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...

I don't care for the new design, but what worries me is priority support for Reason+ subscribers. What will be next? Dark theme only for subscribers? Service updates only for subscribers? More than 5kb/s download bandwidth only for subscribers? Was pointing that out really necessary? I now feel lik...

I spent a *lot* more on my little music hobby in my 20s than I do now.

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...

Lol the average age of this forum's users must be like 50. I'm 46 so I can poke fun. We are not the demographic *any* company is targeting. It's no wonder RS barely chimes in on this forum anymore. Everything is a whine-fest I'm not so sure - this is the age that allows expensive hobbies and many f...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...

I kinda like it? I mean, it features the DAW side of Reason right there on the front page which is great to see! It's definitely more interesting than whatever was there before. It's "loud" but not everyone can do the minimal/clinical Ableton thing.

Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)

If somebody told me they're working on something I would tend to believe them. Yes, obviously they're working on the next version but I don't see what harm a little update would do. But they've said they are working on it and are committed to Reason. It's like, are Microsoft really working on Windo...

Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)

It's been a minute since we've heard anything. It would be nice to hear *something* even if it's just "still plugging away on the next version of Reason, nothing to report." It's a pointless thing to ask because that is almost always true. And if they did it, the same people would demand more proof...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices

They tried this with Europa a few years ago. It was released as a VST. I imagine sales weren't what they hoped because it has quietly disappeared and no other Reason VSTs have been released. I think it was more technical experiments, because they released a web version at the same time. The idea wa...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices

Hi, I have a question to all Rack Extension fans, about pricing Rack Extensions vs their VST equivalents. Currently we employ the same price for our VST and REs, in order to enable free crossgrades between VST and RE. I was wondering whether it would make sense to give up on free crossgrades in the...

Re: What are your plans RE-wise for Black Friday?

Since Reason Studios bah-humbugged my plans for Objekt, I instead bought the Noise Engineering Bundle 2 to complete my NE collection. Their stuff is really fun and underrated.

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices

I say keep the prices the same and offer the crossgrade. You are generous to do so and it's not like you don't participate in sales throughout the year for those looking to get your stuff cheaper. Either way, it's really nice to have a "bigger" developer still support REs

Re: Mac Pro 2012 Reason 12

Yeah, don't waste your money on a 2012 Mac Pro. That's what I'm running now and while it's still capable in terms of CPU, it's stuck at OS High Sierra and I can almost guarantee Reason 13 won't support High Sierra. Almost all newly released plugins aren't supporting High Sierra.

FS: Ableton Live 11 Suite priced to move

Decided to just stick with Reason.

$330 via Paypal takes it. I've got a bunch of good feedback over at KVR:

PM me if interested

Edit: lowered price to $330. Great bargain for someone out there!

I doubt that's what it is because there's no "pause" in the instrument while it loads more samples
Ah ok. It increases the quality of something I’m sure
I emailed Chris and he said that the CPU knob "controls polyphony and sustained notes".

Re: New Rhodes Suitcase73 RE by Chris Griffin

Does anyone have an idea what the CPU knob on the back does? (Other than, you know, increasing or decreasing CPU usage). As per the product description, likely increases the amount of samples used for detail /accuracy. I doubt that's what it is because there's no "pause" in the instrument while it ...
