Re: Tribute 1.1

Is this fixed? The product page doesn't have the warning anymore, but last version number on the product page is 1.1.0.
Tribute 1.1.2 is now up in the shop and includes the wavetables missing from 1.1.1 (sorry again...)

Re: Tribute 1.1

Thanks for being an active developer (sometimes it feels like there aren't that many :puf_unhappy: ) I appreciate that! I guess it's hard for plugin developers to commit to REs and it's not straight forward to develop VST and RE versions in parallel. When I have time, I'd rather make REs than VSTs,...

Re: Tribute 1.1

Nice. So, you upped the version number for this. That'll take care of the update trigger in the shop. I was curious how we would know the correct update had arrived  Yeah, there isn't really any other way to distribute changes other than pushing a new version. Sorry for the inconvenience, ...

Re: Tribute 1.1

Version 1.1.2 fixes this issue and has been accepted by Reason Studios, but the shop page has not been approved yet. I assume it will be approved early next week. You'll be able to download the update with the restored BHK wavetables then. Is this fixed? The product page doesn't have the warning any...

Re: Tribute 1.1

so I was one that updated to 1,1.1 with no way to go back other then time machine which will affect too many other things. What files are missing? BHK Wavetables are missing! You can safely use Tribute 1.1.1 as normal, but BHK combinator patches are not loading. The fix has already been submitted, ...

Re: Tribute 1.1

Thanks for the suggestions! I've thought about releasing parts of Tribute separately, there just hasn't been a good time to put the work in... Making the mod segment parameters automatable would be fun, but it's not super straightforward to do now. Exposing them to the mod matrix wouldn't be a probl...

Re: Strive Creative Filter by Speo

Yeah that's it. Oh, you mean like it´s the amplitude + phase in relation to their frequencies and according harmonics? I didn't manage to phrase it well haha. You can basically think of the frequency domain as what you see in a spectrum analyzer with some extra bits. Anyway thank you for your intere...

Re: Strive Creative Filter by Speo

The wavetables have to be stored in the frequency domain to enable this kind of filtering and anti-aliasing. So instead of say a 2048 samples long wave cycle, they store 1024 amplitudes and phases corresponding to the constituent harmonics of the wavetable. These can be manipulated and then transfor...

Re: Strive Creative Filter by Speo

Europa's Spectral Filter alters the frequency content of the wavetable that is used to synthesize audio. That's why the LP and HP on there can have infinitely steep slopes: it just cuts the harmonics in the frequency domain and FFTs back to time domain before generating the output audio. I see, than...

Re: Strive Creative Filter by Speo

Yes. That way you can scrub through the sample (manually or better yet via cv to wave) and get the response at each position of the input sample. You could replicate the effect using a granular synthesizer as a Modulator input to a vocoder and scrub through the sample in the granular Synth, but Stri...

Re: Strive Creative Filter by Speo

Good question! It gets the gain for the individual bp stages from envelope followers that are cached for each band when the sample is loaded. Thank you, just spontaneoulsy felt like they were similar in sonic appearance. If you say Strive is essentially a bp filterbank, how does it interact with the...

Yes, looking forward aswell. Could one say it being similar to Europas spectral filter?
Kind of - it can do similar things but it does so in an entirely different way. Europa’s Spectral Filter affects the onboard wavetable oscillator whereas Strive is essentially a bp filter bank.

Re: Tribute 1.1

Hey! I appreciate the suggestion - you're right, a per voice shaper would be super useful. I have added it to the list. A legato switch for monophonic mode is another big one on there. I'm currently finishing my degree so there's no plans to implement these features in the near future. I do maintain...

does it mean buttery biscuit bass?  whatever butters your biscuit. Super happy to hear you're enjoying Strive! Re: Tribute 1.1

lol that Spread knob animation is awesome. Like the screws on the Subtractor I always played with the idea of a knob doing that. Like you turn it all the way up (or down) and it falls off when in that position. Just a bit of fun. If you're modelling the gui in 3d, might as well have sum fun :D real...

Now that the filters are open to every audio source, you can easily hook up a phaser with them or have some nice stereo spreaded unique filters  But i still like the FM the most with a LPF vocal and some nice wavetables  That's an awesome setup, gotta try that. Re: Tribute 1.1

Not really a big problem for me. I just think it's a pretty big change in GUI, but I don't see it as being nicer. To be exact, the colors. I liked the distinction between synth parts and now it reminds me of Expanse(which I also don't like in terms of Gui and colors) or some DNA labs stuff. Sorry, ...
