Re: Option to rearrange windows/Mixer on bottom, etc
It's just I'd prefer if they were arranged differently when attached... I can understand that, and given the vertical nature of the rack and the SSL, splitting them differently makes perfect sense. Not sure how that would affect the sequencer, though, as that certainly benefits from a horizontal sp...

Re: Parallel chanels - how much do you use?
In addition to everything mctalao said, I use parallel channels for sending only part of a channel to a send effect. For example, I might not like how the reverb affects my snare sound on the high end, so I can send the snare to a parallel track and run that through a low pass filter before sending ...

Re: What is the Point of Recycle?
There have been several examples given of what ReCycle does that Reason does not. Whether those are necessary features for you is a different question.gak wrote:But again, what does it do?
At best, it's ONE file, and there is nothing that I'm aware of you can't do with reason 8.x except that it's bigger.

Re: Option to rearrange windows/Mixer on bottom, etc
I always detach everything into separate windows, so splitting is not an issue for me.

Insert Labels on SSL
I would like for the labels on the buttons and dials in the Insert section of the SSL to default to blank (not labeled) for controls that are not mapped. The vast majority (in my music, anyway) of these remain unmapped, and having a bunch of "Button 1" and "Rotary 2" labels all over the place makes ...

Re: What is the Point of Recycle?
In my mind, if the loop starts on beat two, you simply line up the first slice to land on beat two, making sure the rest of the beats are also in line (in case the first beat isn't played accurately). This can be quickly determined visually - not sure how I'd do this 100% by ear, certainly not as q...

Re: Reason drops forum?
The official reason was, I believe, that they were redesigning the site and the forum was not compatible with the new structure. But realistically, I think they were embarrassed to have their official forum be so filled with arguing and negativity, so they figured if that was going to be on a forum ...

I believe his point is that if this company legally acquired Windows 7 for resale, then they would have had to do so at a far higher price than what they are charging.normen wrote:For the OEM that either means a loss of 80$ or 60$ (or lets say 70$), pretty easy to understand if you ask me.

Re: Combinator 2 :)
What I would like to see (which I think would address many of these requests) is some kind of sub-combinator. That is, some way to have multiple combinators saved and functioning together. For example, let's say you have a vocal track with some complex FX setup in the insert section. Then you decide...

Re: Are you allowed to use famous quotes, to sell your products?
For something this small-scale and harmless, a judge would require them (the plaintiffs) to first issue a "cease and desist" action. Only if that were ignored would this potentially become a problem.

Re: Wtf .. latest autheriser won't install on win xp !!!
If you're not going to update your OS -- whatever OS it is -- then you have to assume that at some point it will become too obsolete to run modern software. Do you expect all this to still be compatible with Windows 3.1? I have a machine that runs Reason on Windows 7. It runs Reason and nothing else...

Re: Live performance question... (edited re: PC specs)
Can a media player play two tracks simultaneously and sync them automatically and send the two different tracks to two different sources? I apparently made the assumption that you would be outputting to your PA in mono, which would allow you to split the L/R sides (one to PA, one to headphones). If...

Re: Live performance question... (edited re: PC specs)
Just want to hit play at the beginning of the set and have my karaoke and cheat tracks play in sync until the set is over without having to touch anything. (I'd do this in Reason by just putting all my songs in one reason file, like a single hour long song, etc.) Why are you insisting on using Reas...

Allow me to ask in another way - why would you buy a product which can only do one thing, as opposed to buying a cheaper product , which can do much , much more, made by the same company as well as what the more expensive product can do? I believe the link I provided will answer much if not all of ...

I'm not sure I completely get what you're asking, but Props has stated that ReCycle remains for sale to professionals who need it but don't own Reason.
