Re: mDSQ - New Player on Lectric Panda's youtube channel
I've always dreamed of a feature packed sequencer in Reason in this small form factor, I'd love all the features of Thors sequencer as a standalone unit, specifically it's '1-shot' and 'step' run modes, as well as CV outs for start and end of sequence. These are feature lacking in most of the sequen...

Re: Some Matrix love...
Before Evolution I would use it all the time with CV player tap and scales and chords to get something simple running and mess with randomising and altering it's patterns. Sometimes I still do if I want something very simple. It's a great goto device for generating some notes or even CV and has a gr...

That's a useful little workaround I hadn't considered, thanks for sharing!Aria Salvatrice wrote: ↑22 Apr 2021What I've done is make sure that every new instance of a Reason VST starts with a combinator, to ensure I have predictable parameter numbers, and pass through its four knobs and buttons.

Re: RE: equalizer (more than 3 band)
As a general concept I would not call a graphic EQ a "precision corrective tool" - that honor IMIO would go to a parametric EQ, which allows you to remove room resonances and feedback due to it's precision that exceeded any graphic tool. Graphic EQs OTOH are excellent for "drawing" an overall curve...

Re: CV Tool Bundle by Tonicmint soon...
I'm setting it up with the frequency spread such that it is (as I understand it) an octature LFO (0, 45, 90, 135, 180, etc) or simply using it to do polyrhythmic modulation on one instrument (4 bar filter sweep, 3/4 bar PWM modulation, 2/5 bar modulation of an envelope decay via a combinator etc). ...

It would be great to know what the others actually do. Pistons and the pad, I get. I've tried the other ones and I have no clue what to do with them 😂 You should check out the videos for each of them on the store pages, they're brilliantly put together to give you a really cool demonstration of how...

the Lab One eq has more features now, but I prefer it's original look back in the day: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iIBBTxDI2pk/UeMDE2sCIWI/AAAAAAAAAU0/7fc754Dp4mo/s1600/harvest+EQ+send.jpg Wow. 31 bands. Re: CV Tool Bundle by Tonicmint soon...
Ridiculous value here. This covers a wide variety of CV needs. I'm particularly enjoying CV Pad mapped to my ROLI Lightpad, it's not just good for live control but also great at creating interesting random CV generation by tweaking things like laziness and randomness and using satellite CV outputs. ...

Re: BlueDepth / Epic Motion Reverb FX (by Turn2on)
I mean, is there a brown note generator in the shop? If not, why not? You never know when they'll green-light a sequel to Inception . You have to be ready for these things. The real question is why isn't there more than one, and why none with cute kittens? It's too bad April 1st has already passed,...

I really want to buy it (and probably will), just because of the whale. Here's an experiment for you RE developers - Put a cute kitten on your next product.. It could be a brown note generator, you'd get my money. EDIT: Okay screw the whale, this reverb sounds AMAZING. Okay sorry whale, you make thi...

Re: Does Reason need to join the party and get its own controller?
I feel like “DAW controllers” are a bit of a gimmick, with maybe the exception of the Push which seems to have really been engineered for use with ableton. I dread to think what a Reason controller would look like. Remote has somewhat stagnated over the years but I remember way back when I had my no...

Not to mention with the long Latin names they are given lol, I can't tell you what I own and what I'm using without first opening Reason, loading a few or all of them, and then figuring out which one does what. That's gotta hurt marketing as well... I mean, it's very on brand for them and a lot of ...

Re: When is the 0.5 update?
I'd love MPE support, but that on it's own wouldn't be that big of a deal, and I doubt they will update any reason devices to be fully MPE compatible, but because Reason is the perfect playground for modular solutions, all we need is.... the updated combinator! A combinator that can work to make thi...

Re: Newbie - When to use the different racks left and right
Personal preference. It’s a handy way of organising things in the examples you mentioned. Because of how everything is wired up, you can have thing in any order you like really, what matters is the connections on the back and what makes sense to you. I think the extra rack space was introduced in Re...

Re: Renoise now supports the RRP
I was playing around with RRP (probably the AU version as this was before the update) in Renoise a few weeks ago and it was pretty fun. But it was a hassle to do automation, as there's no easy way to assign parameters without knowing the exact value you're after, and because RRP has hundreds of thes...

I think Ryan's regular/consistent live stream, is a huge standout and factor for the success. A+ marketing  The livestreams are sooooo good, only just discovered them a few weeks ago and been binging a lot of them since. It definitely got me back into a using Reason a bit more and upgrad...

Re: Front-8 color scheme knobs not working
I have found the issue and it doesn't seem to be a bug. The device has several colour presets, but the only preset which can be customised using the colour wheels is (5)Custom, but the default device starts with the input using (1)Rainbow A and only the output using the custom one, hence why only th...

Re: Favorite REs released in 2020?
You all got me very curious about Evolution. I’ve been telling myself I don’t need another player that generates notes and I didn’t want to have too much that is purely generative, but I decided to buy it and it’s definitely very musical to play with, I love it how it sequences drums. Anyone got any...

Re: Tips for using Reason to Harmonize/Transform vocals (including via MIDI)?
You can do interesting things with Neptune in Reason to this effect. Check out this video and see if this is of interest to you. The example uses Player devices as the MIDI source and a combinator to pass the MIDI onto it as Neptune is an audio effect, but there's a few ways to route MIDI to Neptune...

Re: @Reason Devs - what's the future of "Suite" bundle?
It doesn’t have to be nearly as complicated as some here are making it out to be. If it’s worth the asking price to you, buy it now. If it’s only worth the sale price to you, wait until it’s on sale. If it’s only worth getting in a suite to you, wait and see if there’s a Reason 12 Suite. Anyone who...
