I think the mix is good. I can hear every instrument clearly. Nice build up to the arpeggio.
Thank you!

Re: (Downtempo / Lounge) The Blue Room

Hi, first of all, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment it, man. These days most guys (me inluded) just post shit and do not ever take the time to listen to others stuff, let alone leave a comment. You're welcome! That being said, i think to some extend i agree with you: I always had the...

Re: (Cinematic Orchestra) Mermaid's Dream

very impressive, loved the voices and the drums. Frankly, I didn't like much the piano at the beginning, which could be improved both by the sound and by interpretation, imho. I think you may try to raise the volume and lower the velocity of the piano track (my 2 cents).

Overall, great composition!

Re: (Downtempo / Lounge) The Blue Room

I like it! The change around 2.47 could be improved with a better transition, imho. Regarding the mix, I am far from an expert, but I think something is missing in the mid-low section. I didn't like the sound around 3.40, which seems to me a bit out of the song. I love the pad and the drum. Good job...

(Electronic) The ill-tempered soul - Watashi no Namae Wa Juan Sebastien est

https://soundcloud.com/esse-giallo/the-ill-tempered-soul-watashi-no-namae-wa-juan-sebastien-est As the title (may) suggest, this song is widely inspired by Bach's Prelude in C major from the Well-tempered Clavier, book 1. In my piece, however, the harmony (and subsequently the melody) has been some...

Re: Midi controller 25 keys and pads

It just took 9 months, but I finally bought the Nektar LX25+

It seems very nice, the keys are in fact a little bit cheap. But overall, it is great!

Very cool piece!

Just one critique: I find difficult to understand the word you're singing. I'm not an English mother tongue speaker, but I think some improvements can be made here.

Re: No [Avant-garde electronic]

Quite the action packed arrangement. Love that sweet and adventurous melody. The bass-lines do more than serve a function they really add to the warmth of the piece as a whole. Aside from some improvements that could be made to the mix, there is some real feel good music here. Easy to listen to and...

Re: No [no idea of the genre - sorry]

Interesting track..."Avante Garde Electronic"? thanks! :D If I may make a mixing suggestion. Especially the first 45 seconds there are some very harsh frequencies in some of the high tones. Turn up the volume and just notice how some of the high pitch sounds sort of distort in your ear if that make...

Re: No [no idea of the genre - sorry]

Oh jeez what genre would that be as it is such a mix of bits and pieces. I guess that makes it some sort of Prog then LOL The complexity of this tho is to understand what you want this music to say to me. What is the scene or story? The mix sounds thin (but balanced) so I would think to check you m...

No [Avant-garde electronic]

The original version included a long sample from a tv series, which I didn't include as it is copyrighted.

I have no idea of the genre, if somebody can point out I would be grateful

Thank you for listening and criticising it :D

Re: Midi controller 25 keys and pads

thanks everyone for the input. I think I'll go for Nektar LX25+. I don't have much time for making music and it seems the better choice for me.

thanks again

Re: Midi controller 25 keys and pads

I do not have much space and i would take a 25keys. I also look for something easy and straight firmware ti use, as I don't want to spend much time in mapping, etc.

thanks. It seems a little bit more pricey than the others, though. Do you think it is worth the difference?

Re: Midi controller 25 keys and pads

Another one to consider: the Alesis VI25. It has 16 pads plus a few knobs and buttons. If you don't need 16 pads, though, I would recommend the Nektar. Quality out-of-the-box Remote mappings are rare, and Nektar is the best in the business. Nektar also has the "catch" functionality that lets you av...

Midi controller 25 keys and pads

Hello everybody, I'm looking for a midi controller, with 25 keys and pads (8 or 16), possibly under € 200. I have read some similar posts and I have identified the following midi controllers: - NOVATION Launchkey 25 Mk2 (has everything that I need); -Novation Launchkey Mini MK2 (cons: smaller keys a...

Regarding the sound, almost none is REason's stock sound. Strings and brass are miroslav, while pianos are reason piano refill. The drums and the cymbals are selig patch (they're free).
