Feature Request - Midi Controller Setup
So my old Axiom-61 has 4 key zones, each of which can be assigned to separate midi channels. What would really be cool is if I could turn on one of those zones, or more than one, and have each one assigned to a different instrument in the rack. I think this might be doable with Advanced Midi setting...

Re: How do you use Reason?
Primarily, I use Reason as the center of my live keyboard rig for the worship band at my church. Secondarily, I use Reason to create my music at home. Hopefully one day I will use Reason to produce other people's music as a full time gig. Cool! Which church? Antioch Community Church in Houston, TX ...

Re: Korg Triton RE?
Sadly thats the thing about buying these ebay refills. These aren't professional sound programmers. The refill shouldn't actually be that big (note Bitley's WBF is just over 5GB with considerably more content than the Triton banks) and the sounds should've been sampled without the fx (and added fx ...

Re: Korg Triton RE?
So the sounds are good, but the samples are only about 8 seconds long each. Is there a way to make them sustain longer than that in NNXT? Sounds like the seller knew very little about mapping samples after sampling. Pretty much your only option is to manually set loop points in the nnxt for the sam...

Re: Extending shorter samples in NNXT
That was helpful! Thanks! I did play around with that last night a bit, but it is gonna be a daunting task to do that to each sample for each sound in this refill. I am gonna have to pick and choose only the main ones I want to use, and do this on a case by case basis for sure. You would think a ref...

Extending shorter samples in NNXT
So I bought a refill with all NNXT patches, a Korg Triton Extreme refill if you wanted to know. And it sounds really nice, but when I sustain any of the sounds, they last about 8 seconds and then cut out abruptly. I realize with like piano sounds, if you really record all of the decay until it's dea...

Re: Controller suggestions for use with Reason?
Actually, except the LCD, you can do this all with any midi keyboard - just use Remote Overriding and Reason premade midi maps. As far as Remote overriding goes, I think that's the whole point of these boards that can have all of the controls set up for you, to save you the trouble of doing all tha...

Re: Controller suggestions for use with Reason?
I did see the M-Audio Code soon to be released and it looks great. I like the fact that you can assign keys/controllers to ASCI key commands. Looks really slick. I guess my first M-Audio Oxygen controller left a bad taste in my mouth due to the cheap plastic build quality and rotary knobs that woul...

Re: Controller suggestions for use with Reason?
Have you ever personally played an Akai MPK? I have and I find the key action pretty terrible. Other than that they do seem to be good stuff, but I play piano and I can't get over the action. It's really stiff. I have always been really happy with M-Audio products. Their new Code series looks promis...

Re: Studders/Glitches in audio playback on OSX?
If it were a PC I would know plenty of things to do to speed it up. But this is my first MAc, and I am not terribly familiar with OSX, other than an operational knowledge. I bought this thing thinking it would be all the computer I would need for a long time. At least 4 years or so. But it's not tur...

That still doesn't explain the poor stress test results.
I have tried that when the computer was cool.

Re: Post a pic of your studio!
This is my live setup.
I have an Axiom Pro that replaced my old Axiom 61, but it is out for repair right now.
Reason 8 is the only software I use on Stage. Although I'm considering adding Live to my setup, with Reason ReWired in and still the source of all my sounds.

Studders/Glitches in audio playback on OSX?
I was hoping someone could help me figure out what is causing this on my MacBookPro. I play Reason like a keyboard-rig on my church worship band. Our sets are sometimes over an hour long, so I'm not sure if that is a contributing factor, maybe I'm running out of ram, I don't know. But for an hour or...

But everyone in this thread is running REason 8, right?
And most are getting more than a crackly, poppy, 2 seconds.

Re: Korg Triton RE?
Well in that case, here's to hoping that a VST is developed soon, followed by an RE. I wonder if the Triton engine just isn't "vintage" enough to be immortalized in VST format just yet. Although, the latest manifestation of it, is in the Taktile midi controllers and it's very basic as I understand i...

Korg Triton RE?
I have been tempted a few times to purchase a Triton Rack just for some of the lush pad sounds to use with my live rig, which is otherwise all Reason-based.
Any chance we will ever see a Triton RE?

Re: Reason 8.1 & above CPU Stress Test (songfile included)!
Here is a thought about my setup.
I am using USB ports for two midi controller keyboards, and also my audio interface.
My 896Mk3 has firewire and USB, currently I'm using USB. Would it help speed things up to switch that over to firewire. Maybe take some load off of the USB bus?
