I also have these log files for R9 (Documents/Propellerhead Logs/Rack Extension Logs). No Beta version before. I'm om PC.

I have reason 8 & 9 on the same machine (Win 10 64bit). Until now no problems . The only thing that happened was a crash of the carve RE when opening R9. Don't know if this was related to R8. It happened only one time. Under C/Programs/Propellerhead you will have one folder for R 8 & one for R9. But...

With the beta both versions could be installed at the same time. So I guess you can have R8 and R9 installed at the same time as well.
