Re: Anyone ever think of a possible Reason PRO?
Think people are seeing daws in the wrong light. Daws are like vsts, tools to craft a final product. Its like a blacksmith using a hammer and nothing else to make a masterpiece or a carpenter using just a wood chisel and nothing else. Every one should use multiple daws instruments etc because if t b...

Re: Anyone ever think of a possible Reason PRO?
The thing with the workstations etc sounding so good is i think reason cant handle the massive size of the sample banks at this moment. I mean if you look at the project sam vst they are around the 15-20 gig+ libraries. When reason can handle the larger banks the sounds will get closer and closer to...

Was just an idea. That they have the recycle technology which i thought could be a good starting point for creating a granular engine that can take in user samples.

Re: Import MIDI files without creating a new track
It is annoying not having drag and drop for midi files, which im guessing has dated back to very early versions and has not been addressed. And is something that has to be addressed in a future update.

Re: Anyone ever think of a possible Reason PRO?
A bad workman blames his tools. If you cant get the sound you want, study more. There is a long list of top artists who use reason. You can get the sound you want in reason, if you know how to. Its like a sculpter saying the rock or clay is bad because he cant sculpt michalanglos david Sent from my ...

Marlstrom update
An idea for the maelstrom loading usersamples. Would it be possible for an update to allow it to make grain samples by reason rexing the sample into 1000s of slices and use the slices as grains? If that works the tools for the maelstom becoming a powerhouse graintable synth are almost in reason alre...

Re: Mac or PC ? Which is best quality?
Was a mac user for 8 years. The new macs are badly made non upgradable rubbish now. They were said to be standard because he os is more stable for performing live. But with a good antivirus and a pc set up right a pc is just as good if not better than a mac. If someone told you that macs sound bette...

Re: Mastering
Izotope is great but can colour the sound. Mastering is a whole world of pain on the wallet. Good mastering plug in like thr plugin alliance ones are around 3600 mark. We use a manley stereo 4 band eq for our masters that alot of the top studios swear by and that alone is 6k. Mastering monitors are ...

Re: Copy/paste notes in sequencer off beat.
The clip or notes could be the smallest bit off. Check the position of the nots at the top of the sequencer when the note is selected. If yhey are off and you have snap on at anysetting they will copy slightly off for each one in relation to the snap

Firstly you could have the perfect chain to master your song, however to start we dont think any of us have a pair of 60k+ rach mastering speakers in a studio set up for mastering. Then after everything is mixed perfectly there will he another thing holding you back, attachment to the track. Composers...

Ochenk, where are you?
Just wondering what the story with his synth RE is as well as the beta test for it. I know he is a busy man, but I don't think I have any drool left after seeing the video for that rack extension. I am no programmer due to lack of brainpower, but any help I could give, like many other on this forum ...

What would you class as too many refills?
I currently have about 130 gigs of refills and it shows no sign of getting any smaller. I use a lot of them, but do people think there is a point where it gets counter productive?

Re: How long does it take you to complete a song?
Few days to a few weeks. Best thing you can do for yourself with finishing a song is give yourself a deadline. No deadline equals infinite tweaking etc. set a date and once past the date don't touch it for a while, if at all, but never delete an idea. The mental process of a deadline alone will refi...

Please share your response on this thread. I'm looking foreward to seeing what horshit anser you get. If I were you I would demand a refund, or an upgrade to version 8 because you want to see how the rig works in the demo. Or they could save it in 7 and send it on as it seems like a small mistake w...
