Also, reset the master fader to 0 and bypass the master inserts if you want to record the signal as it is at the input of the master insert box.

You've been gone a long time. Good to see you back.
And hello to you. I'm not back, actually, just attending my stuff. Though, after certain events, I am no longer paid for it :-)

Re: Peak metering on Mix Channels - is there any use?

In addition to the above and so as not to create new topics... After making a tutorial video on Mini Normalizer RE, I got a bit hung up about different techniques of gain staging in mixing. I myself tend to highlight two key places where gain control makes the most sense to me: one - just before mix...

Re: Are you in control of your own thoughts, actions and decisions?

There already exist different forms of matter. So, philosophically within materialism, is is possible to allow the existence of a special form, "psycho"-matter. It can be a medium for a will (Hello, Schopenhauer). But what’s the matter made of? Energy. Four forces etc. So if the mind is made of tha...

Re: Are you in control of your own thoughts, actions and decisions?

Strict casuality is dead since quantum mechanics, materialism still stands. There is now a level in material world where wonderful things can happen. I think we’re arguing semantics here. In my model the material...whatever it is...doesn’t go anywhere. Only it’s place in some conceptual hierarchy c...

Re: Are you in control of your own thoughts, actions and decisions?

Why? Materialism stands. Some substance is organized, some is not. I’m talking about it on a deeper level. Trying to. If the entire universe was blue (for example) the concept if blue wouldn’t exist. It’s similar here. If there’s free will as we’ve been discussing it then material exists in opposit...

If everything including consciousness is made of the same basic stuff...energy basically...then you’re left with an impossibility to define that single substance against anything else. So materialism defeats itself in a way.

Re: Are you in control of your own thoughts, actions and decisions?

Maybe only for those who spend their allegedly free will on digging too deep? What else would a free will do but question its own existence if given enough freedom to think freely? Fixated on itself, giving up everything including head, maybe free will has nothing else to do. Life brings freedom, d...

Re: Are you in control of your own thoughts, actions and decisions?

They can be said to have a will  They can also therefore be said to have a ‘way’. Proof: IF (there is a will), THEN (there is a way). They can be said to have anything, and anything can be "proven" about them. I mean, it is useless to look for answers in a model that inherently lacks the...

Re: CV upscaler in reason stock?

I've always done it this way and never noticed any issues. In fact… If there was delay I would see it with this setup no? What would be a better test to reveal the delay? A null test. I did it, and you are right, Spiders indeed have zero latency. I've always assumed they delay the signal for one ba...

You only need one Spider for this, no?
That way one pair of CVs will be out of sync with the other pair on the merge, delayed by a 64-sample period.

Re: Are you in control of your own thoughts, actions and decisions?

Now I remember the free will thread I wasn't supposed to remember, by the will of others. Even Neo had no free will, or do I need to watch the trilogy again? Neo was not supposed to have it since it's a fictional character. The authors designed him the way they liked him to be, by their own free wi...
