Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
It would also be cool to just put the filter and overdrive of The Legend in a small RE unit. Nice for guitar. Like the Moog pedals. Actually The Legend has external audio inputs on the back panel :) If you want to use it as a pure processor for guitar, you just need to send a long note its way to o...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
Similarly, if you try to simulate a tube amp with a digital distortion plus EQ, you can get very nice tones that way but it's not nearly the same. Maybe an idea for your next project? I am absolutely sure we can go beyond what's currently available in amp simulation. Plus all these cool guitar effe...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
Ok guys I know when I've been beaten. I'm gonna go home now and practice on my "$100 Les Paul copy". LOL You don't need to practice, you have done a great job! There is just technical limits to how close you can get. Let's take the ladder filter as an example. Suppose there was a computationally ch...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
That was interesting to see/hear - I don't consider myself to have amazing ears, but could definitely discern subtle differences between most of the examples there. Which doesn't mean the hardware necessarily sounded better than the software (except the last example, where I thought the hardware ha...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
The Cinematic Strings impersonation is too far away from the original for my taste, it's more like a new patch, one that is great though! The Bass Carpet is close and nicely programmed, but when actually playing it, it sounds to me like a $100 guitar from China trying to impersonate a Gi...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
Would be interested in that too, recreate the default patch of The Legend exactly please, and some of the vintage ones too
And btw the Polymoog is a string synth with divide-down circuitry. It's not even close in concept or sound.

Re: Will Synapse ever release Dune 2 as an RE?
Yes, exactly. Some suggested to make a Dune 2 "Player" of sorts, with macro knobs to control the major sound parameters, perhaps somewhat along the lines of Nexus. But I'm not sure if a) users would want that since it limits your ability to make sounds from scratch and b) if disabling the multi-core...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
Seconded. I haven't seen any info on either the Props or Synapse site regarding what was changed and/or fixed in 1.0.2. It was just a tiny update. A few patch names were changed, e.g. "Adagio KS" from the demo video had a different name and is now named correctly. Now the patches should be correct ...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
I made a combinator patch earlier this evening that adds some features like: a second LFO (mapped to vibrato by default) velocity to filter cutoff velocity to filter envelope amount ..and a legato glide mode (very useful for 303ish basslines). The patch can be used as a starting point for own patch...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer default setting is out of tune
The point is, though, Key Tracking doesn't really apply, as it affects all octaves equally (well, in terms of the ratio across the keyboard) and that's simply not how that gear operated. LFO drift doesn't apply either, as that's a constant effect usually in too short a time-scale, typically effecti...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer default setting is out of tune
You can set key tracking to 0, but note that no VCO-based analog synth would have such a perfect tuning precision- it would be more like a DCO-based synth then.

It does not support the Sustain pedal. Do you need the pedal for the polyphonic mode?

You mean for the ADSR knobs? There is Filter Cutoff and EnvAmt CVs already, if you wish to control the filter envelope from outside.Loque wrote:I had time today and i have to say, great sound quality. You can hear it. Great job, guys!
Would it be possible to add CVs for the filter envelope?

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
I downloaded the VST version now that it's out. Quite interesting being able to do a proper comparison. The VST version uses almost half the CPU which is interesting. It also allows automation of all the controls on the back which I find a bit unfair to the Reason users. It is simply not possible i...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
Maybe you could add the reverb Algorithmen from the legend to antidote and dr-1 as well in an update. Or release it at least as a separate Rack extension. We thought about the latter, not sure if/when we'll get around to that though. If we made it separate it would certainly be something bigger and...

Just to clarify the video shows the VST version. It looks practically identical, just the CV connectors and the External inputs are missing since this doesn't exist in the VST world

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
Yes, The Legend is built around a 4-voice core largely processed in parallel using SSE. One of the available voice modes (top right of the UI) is Unison, which plays all 4 voices at once.jjdejong0 wrote:Is there a Unison feature?
