No more SDK 1.0 Rack Extensions
At the risk of having my head bitten off, maybe more people should consider the upgrade to 8.1 as just another Rack Extension, which it basically is. Extend it, modernise it, arm it with the technology it needs. :) Mart. I've already put my head out there... :s0238: erm...two heads are better than...

Imitone as an RE maybe?
Well, looking at the video there seems to be no need for it to be a rack extension... It's an extra program that basically behaves like a midi keyboard as far as the music programs are concerned... D. That's right...it'll probably be, or end up as something you just route to your DAW(USB ?) that'll...

Well I'm definitely all for it. Unfortunately I missed that post on the PUF. Me too. I've often played around with velocity in the past as it makes such a massive difference and isn't often taken as seriously as it should be. One technique is to apply filtering to softer struck notes of course, But...

Well, I got mine but, I decided to pay $5 to help support him.
I'll go n try it now.
ps...I did find advancing to the download a little confusing, having to guess what to click rather than being told to 'download here'.

But in fairness, what would he gain from not following through ? A few FB likes...well that would soon be undone and his reputation would fall to zero. I'm not sure what part of the world he's in or what time zone, so whether that impacts anything I don't know.

Euphonic Strings Refill - Flash Sale!
I'm also interested in this but, could anyone tell me if there is any difference between this and the product in the Prop shop ? I've never bought a refill from the Prop shop before but I'm assuming it's simular to RE's...you can download at anytime once it's on your license etc ? I'm just a bit con...

Newtrols in the shop
Don't get me wrong Hákan, my post wasn't a complaint...it was just a thought that went through my head after reading pathammy's post. I knew the Newtrol was coming when I opted to buy the ModPanel...I could have waited but, I was so impressed with the ModPanel and even more at the price of the bundl...

Newtrols in the shop
It would be nice if those of us that bought the ModPanel(I bought mine just 2 weeks ago), could pay the difference to switch the license to the Newtrol...I doubt PH could get this into action though.pathammy wrote:$10 more, though?? Seems kinda steep for just a different color...

Which developers would you still like to see developing Rack Extensions?
Before coming back to Reason, I had spent a good few years in Reaper and one of my favourite plugin devs was Antress Modern. http://antress.blogspot.co.uk/ All free vst's but I thought they sounded as good as they looked. One of the main things that drew me to them at the time was how simular they l...

New extension from DLD - chose the layout!
I think the second option with the grouped knobs works better visually, but they are both very professional looking and worlds beyond most of the REs in the Shop. And this statement is in regards to how REs look , not sound. No personal disrespect aimed at RE developers, but if you are not a design...

New extension from DLD - chose the layout!
I like the simplicity of the 2nd one as well as the symmetry. The rotaries are spaced better and the thing just looks less clustered as a whole. I also prefer the centered patch window. I really do like the meters on the top one though, but it does look like everything has been squeezed in and I thi...

As SDKs progress, and older REs become outdated, will their prices drop?
Of course the price on anything technology wise should drop over the years, it always does in the real world. But in the real world, appliances are built, sold and then discontinued. If you had bought a synth 10 years ago for $1000, the same standard of synth today may cost you $1500 but it's the la...

RE Blackout Purchasing
On a side note(I didn't wanna start a new thread for this but want to submit my first post) I'm relatively new to RE's although I've used Reason for years, and so I've spent a lot of time recently in the shop looking through all the different options and buying the odd 1 or 2. Anyway, I always look ...

What do you love most about Reason?
Hands down, the idea of the "virtual rack." Â I am not a polished keyboardist (drummer/bassist), but I need to compose, and I love synths and sounds. Â And sounds. Â And sounds. Â I was stifled for almost twenty years while I fooled around with Cakewalks and such, and continued to buy racks here an...
