Re: Suggestion for sequencers implementing probability

You can turn a 16 step mono pattern to an structured 4 bar very easily by just adding conditional triggers (1/2, 1/4, 3/4 where the denominator is the number of bars and the numerator is how many times the trigger will happen). I think the A:B condition works a little different from your descriptio...

Re: Suggestion for sequencers implementing probability

What you’re suggesting is basically the same as support for longer patterns, right? Since the conditions are met every time the sequence plays, it would probably make more sense to just provide the ability to work with longer patterns in the first place. There would be little “saved” by introducing...

Re: Mouse-over, knob controllers?

I have just come across the Surface Dial-Elephant software in the Video above and the Dial lools very promising as it seems to have good resolution. But there are a few things to consider. Since it is designed to work in the touch screen environment they didnt implement a Mouse Over function but a m...

Re: Mouse-over, knob controllers?

Got it 90% working (have to get the toggle of modes right). But there is a drag. That thing is a Jog Wheel and that means it is an encoder with a not so super high resolution and that in turn means to get a value from 0 to 127 in increments of 1 you need to turn alot. I would say 4 times. You can ad...

Re: CV Player Tap, free from Lectric Panda

New Update: "Fixed bug that caused successive notes without gaps to merge." Now how was that handled before and after? i noticed when i had a long gate coming into Gate Input 1 and while the gate was on the corresponding notevalue changed, i got mutliple gate outs in the output section. But is that ...

Re: Mouse-over, knob controllers?

Just ordered a Griffin Power mate, couldnt resist. Gonna see if i can turn it into a 1 knob thingy. All it needs to do is vertical mousdrag inplace and vertical mousedrag both switchable by the press. Horizontal is another thing but not so often needed i figure. If it canot be configured with inhous...

Re: Controlling volume of selected instrument's mixer track via midi controller

I used to have a codec for one of my controllers where i read out the current sequencers track name and if there was a "CH=X" in there it connected a certain knob on my controller to mixer channel X. Worked but renaming all channels was a bit of a pain.

Re: Possible bug in Redrum

It is kindof weird in that CV Analyzer shows the zero value but only when you move the zero line 1 tick lower it triggers. Never had that in any other device. Plug the momentary buttons of a Modpanel into the CV8 and it triggers them straight away. Also it doesnt make a difference that the play butt...

Possible bug in Redrum

Yesterday i wanted to trigger the CV8 channels via the Gate Outs of Redrum but for some reason it wouldnt work. Further investigation showed that a trigger of the gate out in Redrum resulted in a cv gate Signal that doesnt go down to zero again. I set the Gate lenght to different values and tried th...

if you really need the CV8x4 12 to equal 0.09449, create an automation lane for the knob and set it to 12 in there.

Re: What CV value is exactly 1 octave and how do i generate it

The note value is coming from a ModPanel 16 Fader and goes through a Polymodular Merger (where the addition of the octave is supposed to occur). Edit:Ok, i think i solved it. It is the point where i add the octave cv value. When i use a Thor Rotary everything is fine, when using a CV8x4 with a value...

What CV value is exactly 1 octave and how do i generate it

I have this sequencer where i want to add or deduct 1,2,3 octaves to the current sequence. I have connected the 8 steps to a RVL-1 to monitor the notes of the 8 steps and when i start adding +- CV values to the steps, the notes increase/decrease. BUT i cant find a single value which adds an octave t...

If it was Reason native it would even eliminate the need to tell the knob if it is a vertical or horizontal drag.

Re: suggestion for a utility CV device

What i also often miss is an 8 Channel AD Envelope and a device that takes two inputs and converts them to octave -1-8 and note 1-12 and outputs the corresponding note (maybe with selectable scale). Also a simple 8x8 8x16 padmatrix would be nice to have. But that is just me. Edit: I found that Hamus...

Re: suggestion for a utility CV device

Well, you can already do this with a combination of devices. Like i said CV Select8 or ModSelsor in combination with CVx8. But these devices clutter up your your project when you need more than a few knobs. And they add alot of overhead when they start to add up. I mean you can add 8 ModSelsors and ...

But those two dont do what i am asking for at all? Thats why i am suggesting. AFAIR they generate values which you aske...

Europa and Grain have 3 cool and drawing envelopes. Here's a sense of what's in store from the update. Totally dislike that interface. Yeah, but you cant control them via CV. And as i said i usually need at least 8 of them. Just fiddled around with PSD a bit more. Very obscure but cool is the Mod M...

suggestion for a utility CV device

I would like to see a CV device which helps in generating arrays of cv values and display their meaning. Pretty much like CV-Select but simpler when it comes to wiring: 8 Channels, when folded you see only the 8 displays. When open you can set up to 8 values per channels and have a textfield next to...

It is the last day on sale.

I am wiring up mainly weird Sequencers of all kinds and therefore i need lots of envelope generators and CV access to the stages. And this has 2 Envelopes with a mod matrix among alot of other things of which i haven't even grasped what they are for.

Digitakt Overbridge beta and Reason

Does anybody have insights into the Digitakt Overbridge Beta in conjunction with Reason? Dunno if there is an NDA but i have seen a video where the audio Channels get streamed into a Daw.
