Re: Dry/Wet knob for Scream 4 distorstion unit
Listen carefully when doing it, I remember people saying back then that some of the distortion types would create phase problems in a dry/wet situation. Dont remember wich.

Re: Reason Export
Now I'm puzzled to what's the "strange behavior" is, everything started to go smooth again, then it came back, so I rebooted the computer with no change to the song and everything was fine. I've had Reason since about Reason 5 and nothing like that ever happened, not a deal breaker. Only random long...

Re: Reason Export
Yeah as Loque suggested make sure Reason is set to run at the same sample rate you’re exporting to. I’ve had this in the past where something had changed it to 44.1 and when I export to 48 it first pre calculates/converts everything and then renders. May even help having windows set to the same as ...

Re: Reason Export
I've not seen that, but you have two other options. One is to bounce mixer channels, selecting the master channel. If that doesn't work, do a real time record to a new channel using REC SOURCE on the master, then make a copy of the song file and delete everything but the new file - then export or b...

Reason Export
Nothing has changed in my system, my songs play normally with the same DSP level, no glitch (i7 14700K) But since a couple of days, exporting my songs whatever format is extremely long, even a 4 bar export can now take 5 minutes. I'm doing everything exactly the same, exporting songs I have exported...

Re: Korg - Multi/Poly Native
What an ugly GUI
They could of modeled it more like the rack module (color scheme) wich looks good, with the beautifull 4k hd screens we have, why not put in a little effort to make it look decent

GForce OB-E
Not sure where to post this but I have this "weird" behavior, maybe someone can help before support is needed, not sure if it's Reason or GForce that need support, but I guess it's GForce I assign a combinator knob to the filter and it works The problem is when I automate it, if I draw a straight ju...

Re: R13 (.1) Browser woes
Whether opening up 13 or loading up a small project in 13 . It takes 3- 5 minutes. Yeah this is annoying. I'm not having any major problems browsing or loading sessions, but I do get sick of the long wait time when launching 13 from scratch. Four minutes is about the average for me, I have to try t...

Re: R13 (.1) Browser woes
I tried to give R13 another chance... Nope, the changes kill my workflow. The monochrome icons and UI of the browser kill me. I hate the monochrome with a passion too. The sad thing it's not coming back, they've been going more and more monochrome with each release But the workflow is more importan...

Re: R13 (.1) Browser woes
The color definitely has to come back! The functionality of it seems alright but I can not stand the look of it compared to the old browser. The old patch icons are very nice, why would we want to get rid of them to instead have everything monochromatic? I honestly can't stand the monochromatic bro...

Reason 13.1 and Memory
This looks like a great update, last thing stopping me from upgrading is the RAM memory size when using vst3
Can someone confirm if this has been fixed. I wasnt able to see this in the release notes.
Now I'm on 12 and using vst2 when possible, would be great to upgradde.

Random Tool
Why haven't they added a random timing sections set by ticks?
A box to delay each notes by x ticks to x ticks creating liveliness in the timing.
Of course it can only be delayed but still...
I know you can do it in the sequencer tools but it would of been great

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
Exactly, but what does that have to do with anything? This is “advertising”! I have to wonder if you’re tying to apply direct logic to advertising? Doesn’t work, stuff like this is meant to evoke a “feeling”, not necessarily to accurately and logically express a fact. How many synths advertise a li...

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
When you say "sound less shit", less shit than what? Does Reason sounds less shit than Cubase or Ableton, do you go around saying my daw sounds lest shit than yours, no, you say, in my daw, I do this or that using this work flow, I that's why I love it. I've already said that I don't see the commen...

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
Yeah you can write a song with any DAW, you can make a hit with any DAW, you can "sound like you" with any DAW... Some people will read way too far into things no matter what. I just like Reason for what it is and the ads don't affect me. You are making my point, daw's dont sound like nothing, the ...

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
I see it as just being relatable and something people say. I don't see it as a comparison to other DAWs. "How can I make my vocals sound less shit?" is something I hear people ask. Me seeing an ad claiming Reason can help you make hit songs or sound less shit is pretty much all the same to me, but ...

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
If you want to sound corporate, by all means speak “professionally”. If you want to sell music products, speak like music makers. It’s like saying one needs to wear a suit to be taken seriously. Not in the music world for some time now… ;) I doubt any music maker would get enthusiastic with somethi...

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
I was refering juvenile as kindergarden stuff, even when I was 20 years old, looking for a daw, having a statement like "Sound Less Sh*t" would not have been appealing. I thinks there's a minimum of professionalism you expect with a major company, but what the heck, nothing to loose sleep over, if ...

Re: Sound Less Sh*t
It's like a bunch of juvenile has taken of Reason Studios, in the marketing department at least. That's probably what I would have done too. If they don't appeal to the youngest generation they are potentially missing out on a huge new market. There are probably not a lot of us old geezers left tha...

You can see it in the new web design and now even with slogan like this.
Don't worry, I'm not offended, it's just lame.

A modern saturation / distortion / unit with many more algorithms and basic hp/lp mix knobs, maybe something dual with options to parallel / series
Scream is really outdated, saturation / distortion is such an important creative tool

Re: Ozone 11 standard vs Sonible plugins for mastering
Hi
I just watched a video about mastering and he covers Sonible and ozone11, maybe this will help you. They are both among his prefered tools
From what I can see, Ozone is a much more complete set of tools depending on the version.

Re: Clip ID
The reason I would prefer clip ID is that clip ID would not be for a single track/note lane/automation Sometimes you may have multiple synths on different tracks doing the same midi/automation for some parts of the song, let's say for 3 bars, synth 1, 2 and 3 are playing the same Clip ID but on bar ...
