Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
I think a few years back to the YouTube vid of Ernst introducing the (then new) Rack Extension feature for Reason, explaining along the way why going the VST route was a bad idea, and as I let it sink in that they are about to completely contradict that stance and give users a feature they have bee...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
Exciting news indeed But this is finally a admission of the RE failure, failure is not the wright word but RE's did not take off as expected, and probably did not attract a lot of new customer. Im kind of surprised he did not mention something along the lines that it was his genius idea all along an...

Re: To strengthen expansion, Verdane invests in Propellerhead, becoming majority shareholder
The easiest way to grow desktop Reason would be to allow VST to be used, imo. People want sounds and synths. We're getting fantastic RE synths at the moment. Maybe this investment can fund a new wave of sound packs too. Agreed for synths, we have a great selection, and the SDK is quite capable now,...

Re: To strengthen expansion, Verdane invests in Propellerhead, becoming majority shareholder
Well Verdane is there for one reason, profits, absolutely nothing else, Pretty sure they absolutely have no interest in audio creative tools per say. The only way that can happen is if they sell more, either reason, rack extentions, refills or a new product or service Some possibilities A new produc...

I wish they took the time to redo a better GUI, something that look professionnal, like their VST version, with the latest SDK, nice things can be done.

@Nirude
You are so skilled, nobody offered you a contract for a RE GUI
Some would definitely benefit, give the aquios a shot and contact the developer

Re: The Aquios X4 is in the Prop Shop....
I have to agree, the top part GUI is awful, when it was previewed, I thought, is just to make it look intentionally messy for previewing, like they often do, never would I have expected it to be the final release. 2 things to fix it up Make the top background like the bottom, get rid of the toned gr...

Rack Extention Location
Hi I just purchased a laptop with classic 128GB SSD C: and 1TB D: drive. First venture into this. So I know I have to install programs on D drive to keep space on C:, but after install on the D:, the soundbank went into C, can I move these on the D:. I have downloded a rack extention to see where it...

Re: Line 6 amps - the reason why they were removed?
Amen to that, even selig, a PH fan can admit to PH did wrong, I will let this go but joeyluck justifications are beyong me. I don't see his comments as justifications so much as trying to help others find a way forward. I'm more of a realist myself, and have moved on to bigger and better things. I ...

Re: Line 6 amps - the reason why they were removed?
But you ARE making excuses right throughout this thread, shooting people down who have expressed genuine concern for the demise of stock effects (that's right, sit with that for a moment, STOCK effects have been removed) and constantly telling everyone how wonderful Propellerheads are despite this....

Re: Line 6 amps - the reason why they were removed?
What does the Convolution algorithm with RV7000 MkII has to do with the line 6 removal You can use guitar cabinet impulse responses with the RV7000 - maybe that was Propellerhead's way of lessening the blow of the removal of the amps. Maybe that's what Joey was hinting at. Maybe. Or, maybe not. :pu...

Re: Line 6 amps - the reason why they were removed?
My point about contacting Line 6 is that they are the ones who make the software that many users here are saying they can't live without. Now you can contact and complain to Propellerhead all you want... But they aren't Line 6. They have given us replacements and made it work so that files and patc...

Re: Line 6 amps - the reason why they were removed?
If it's really that important... ;) It depends on how much value you attach to the fact that Reason has been 100% backwards compatible since it's release, until Reason 9. ;) Yeah. And yet still pretty compatible and not broken; unlike how most other DAWs would handle it... which would be not at all...

Re: Expanse 1.1 Update in the Shop!
With a synth like expanse, if you would add oscillators and filters like the ones in Legend or any legendary synth, could you basically get the same sound (or near), meaning without the effects. by adding waveforms and filters coupled with the versality of the oscillators on expanse, can you come c...

Re: Reveal Sound Spire...It is coming!
It's personnal, but I prefer the white version of reason. I think it looks really really good. I really dont care bout the missing features, The most important thing is to get the sound quality of the synth and effects and hopefully a mod matrix. Of course a 1:1 port would be nice, but I dont care. ...

Who cares about the name, just use it as a new RE synth.stratatonic wrote:Shouldn't call it SPIRE if that's the case. If it's trimmed down, maybe call it IRE.mind2069 wrote:So what if its a trimmed down version.
Just forget spire even exists in the vst world.

Re: Reveal Sound Spire...It is coming!
So what if its a trimmed down version.
If it is priced accordingly and makes the most use of the sdk possibilities (and the cpu is good), just look at it as another new synth based on spire. and use the rest of reason devices to make what you need.
