I haven't used Reason or Recycle in about a year and a half. I love Reason but Ableton and Push is such a great environment that I figured keeping Reason doesn't really make sense. So if I sell Reason I may as well sell Recycle with it and give someone a decent deal on the two.

Anyone who wishes to seriously campaign for that should be taking it directly to the Props (good luck), and be prepared to make a really good case that shows how adding VSTs would benefit Props more (not only financially but aesthetically) than keeping on with their current plans (again, good luck)...

Would adding VST support hurt Reason? For those that think it would, I imagine they wouldn't use VST support anyway so why not add it for those of us that would?

I would probably side with Rewire as well. My only issue with Rewire is that it currently only works one way and Reason cannot be the Rewire Master. This one way routing prevents you from processing audio in Reason and also prevents midi use in Reason. I'm still hoping that one day Props will unders...

I'm really hoping Props bring Reason up to speed. It's a great DAW just needs some serious TLC.

I didn't want to do it but I put all Props emails to spam and unsubscribed. I'm subscribed to their YouTube channel...if they have anything worthwhile to say I'm sure they'll say it there.

Reason has to feel "extended" by extensions, not just more of the same. Extensions need to provide an obvious cost/benefit analysis to generate clear motivation in order to drive sales. You can't do that if they're weaker than the default rack, because then you have the most powerful stuff already....

But you aren't investing in the company; you are purchasing a product. I don't understand why you would buy a product that doesn't work for you. And if it does work for you, then future upgrades would be a perk, not a necessity. I can't say I'm a fan of everything Props is doing, and I can't say Re...

I knew what you meant...my position is that by allowing VST support you could have your fancy graphics. After all we don't use "graphics" per se we use the end result of the graphics which in this case are already available in VST format. The end result being the tools the graphics make possible.
