Drag and drop midi from Refill into Live via Rack plugin?
I am still on Reason 10 and haven't seen this addressed... Is it possible to drag a midi file from a Refill into your sequencer (i.e. Live) via the Reason Rack plugin?

Re: POLL: How much would you pay for Mobile Reason? (and what would you like to see/or not see implemented?
The thought of trying to record, edit, arrange, mix, and master on a little iPad screen seems crazy to me. And doing it all without all the physical I/O and gear. Talk about a workflow killer. So, yeah... $0

My buffer size numbers are suddenly weird... anyone seen this before?
So, I may have screwed something up. I was testing how the sample rate in my Scarlett 6i6 impacts latency and after messing around with it for a short while I put everything back to the way I always use it: 24-bit / 44.1 khz. I set it this way in the reason control panel and also in my hardware cont...

Re: Why no delay compensation in a combi
Well to be fair it's easy to load the Combi into the insert of the Mix channel if you need to combine FX stuffs, then the content is compensated. Yeah, but I do a lot of instrument combis and there we're out of luck unless we want to go about mucking with manually setting the delay compensation... ...

Re: Why no delay compensation in a combi
IIn general I have to say that imo the PDC is Reason is totally half-assed And after playing around with it a while now... I think you're right. I'm a huge fan of the software and think so many of updates they've done have really been spot-on, but the PDC seems to fall short. I hope they get PDC in...

Why no delay compensation in a combi
I'm trying think of a logical reason why Reason doesn't do delay compensation within a combi. You can have a simple mix channel with instrument -> FX and the delay compensation will work, but the moment you "combine" it, the delay compensation goes to zero and you're potentially going to get phase i...

I use AMP, Selig Gain and kHS device all at different times for different things. Some can do things via CV that others can't.

Re: What stock device is best for simple gain adjustment?
Still, I would take the opposite approach - I'd use a simple gain device as my "offset" and use the fader for automation as this is how I often work on physical SSL consoles. I might try this out. Typically, I like being able to just look at the mixer and do broad track-level adjustments there with...

Re: What stock device is best for simple gain adjustment?
Why not bus the faders. Use the original to set the automation and the bus to set level or vice versa. Can even have the aux pre fader that way. Only problem there is that I typically wind up with 40 or 50+ tracks with many of them needing gain automation. If I made a new mixer channel/bus for each...

What stock device is best for simple gain adjustment?
With the arrival of VSTs, I'm back at using Reason as my main DAW. I really like the Utility device in Ableton that's small and simple and I use it to automate track volumes up and down. I don't like automating the faders because I treat that as an "overall" track-at-once up/down volume. I just use ...

Reason Upgrade - does it ever go on sale?
Hey guys... quick question. When props has their sales, I normally just look at REs and such. I've never paid attention to whether or not their "upgrade" to Reason goes on sale. I like what I'm seeing with Reason 9, but for me its hard to justify $129. I am wondering if I can expect a sale sometime ...

Re: Reason 9 Officially Announced!
Can someone check, if it is no possible to drag and drop a midi clip in a existing sequencer-lane without creating a new midi device? All sequencer tracks must have a device or what's the point! They could add the option to use an EMI instead of an ID8, but the way Reason is designed it will have t...

Need help with Polysix external LFO to modulate VCO
When I hook up an external LFO (tried Thor and Pulsar) and route it to my MG/LFO in Polysix set to the VCO (pitch), I'm not getting the sine wave shape I'm expecting. If I route my LFO to VCF or VCA I do get the sine wave shape I'm expecting but as soon as I switch it over to VCO, I get what is bas...
