Re: Presets vs/ Programming Your own sounds

Lots of ideas here, so at the risk of perhaps repeating a couple, will give my own take on presets versus programming. I used to design most from scratch but after years of doing so, started to find it too time consuming, let alone at times, tedious. The last few years, I've gone more into "Pads" or...

Re: Radical Piano/ Keys. Hmm

Wow guys, I have not used many sampled pianos other than some of the Korg stuff, like the M1, Wavestation, Triton and some of the Reason stuff, but for the most part, hated all of them. They all sounded so utterly wooden to me and in general I don't like, and never have, sampling. But personally, I ...

Re: Electronic

If any of you liked that piece, you also might like this one. It's deep, it's dark, related to some dire things going on in my relationship at that time-happily now resolved. The title is a reflection of the music's darkness and the total electronic sounds are contrasted against percussion that is e...

Guess you could define some of my work as electronic classical, or perhaps world beat, but in any case, it's done in Reason with lots of high end VSTs such as Monopoly, Zebra, Synthmaster and Reason instruments and effects from U-he. I agree with sdst; I rarely use loops of any kind, but I do use and love using Redrum and/or Kong using the trigger outs from Redrum.  And as Selig said, diminishing th size of the Redrum buttons a little would not increase the difficulty for programming at all but it would be so nice to see all 4 b...

That's it exactly sdst! :s0801:    :t2018:  Imagine not having to use the 1-16 slider, PLUS being able to see the status of all 64 buttons at once!

I love Redrum for programming patterns and often hook up the CV trigger outs to a Kong for my drum patterns, but one thing I've always found frustrating is that when you are proramming patterns, you can only see 16 on/off swiches at once and are forced to use the selector to see the other 48. I'd li...
