Re: New album (Electronic)

I have made a new album. All done in Reason 12. https://tau-ceti.bandcamp.com/album/ruins-of-time Gz to the album! These are the three tracks I liked the most: Nod : Intriguing No-Big-Bang intro. Deep nice bass as a platform for these beautiful textures. You're building a nice sound universe with t...

Re: [Fusion] The Hong Kong Fridge Confidential

Nice one! I like the vocoded vocals, it fits perfect with the music & mood. Personally I don't mind the way the vocals blend in. It's vocoded so to me it's a mood setting/adapting instrument rather than something I expect to hear every word of. I agree with guitfnky about the pad: it's a nice sound ...

Re: (80's Synthpop/New Romantic) She Walks In Beauty

Great tune, (getting a bit of Thomas Dolby vibe) but have to agree with Quarmat, the chorus seems quieter than the verse! (if I was able to discern the difference correctly? :) ) The solo/bridge is a nice shift from the main song, though perhaps outstays its welcome? And the end is a bit abrupt, pe...

Re: (80's Synthpop/New Romantic) She Walks In Beauty

The piece clearly points to a specific point in the history of pop music and does so well, indeed very well, philologically, from a sound design and composition point of view. Also in terms of the mix: the sounds are crisp, distinct, expanded to the maximum of their possibilities, powerful and bala...

(80's Synthpop/New Romantic) She Walks In Beauty

Hi all, another one for my Retro Rhyme project where I pick old poems that inspires me, and put it in a synthpop context. This is synthpop with a touch of 80's/New Romantic. Lyrics based on Lord Byron's poem "She walks in beauty" from 1814. https://soundcloud.com/retro-rhyme-282376882/she-walks-in-b...

https://soundcloud.com/transient-behaviour/new-toys Reviewing the very first RT post in the Music forum is on my bucket list, so here we go: Well sounding minimal stuff. I agree with "Some Desperate Glory" that a context helps when listening to this; especially since it's not my favorite genre. I'd...

Re: Ambiant Industrial (now I am making shit up)

Wonderful intro: a humanized chainsaw smooth enough for an ASMR focus session rather than Sleep therapy. Overall a nice template to work on imo. Some thoughts: The chainsaw is a main theme throughout the tune. I'm curious what you could come up with if you: * Had it in the intro and as an "ostinato"...

Nice Vangelis like style; soft and pleasant.
About the soundcloud vs the YT version: "Dance" and "Dervish" - it makes me think of Dervish dancing, rather Sufi than Hindu related?

Nice! Perfect music in a High Energy retreat for Pastafarians. This is something to play after a busy week of work with too much stuff going on in your head that just won't go away by itself. An injection that doesn't calm down the looping & racing work thoughts using low arousal tactics, but kicks ...

End System : Sounds good to me. I liked the reverse handclaps sequence from 1:07 Hostess: Sounds a bit like Aphex Twin Bell: Sounds solid; I like the beat. Vocals in this would be cool. Sounds a bit like suno.ai when you need a segment telling it to make it instrumental but it hallucinates alien-language vocals anyway because it feels like it

This genre, and minimal stuff in general isn't my cup of tea, but I can share my impression:

When I hear the BD it reminds me of the sound of a basement night club but from outside.
First I thought it was missing the click sound but i realize this is probably what you aimed for.

Nice ones all of them!

I find the vocal level on "Chess and Pull-ups" a bit lower compared to the other ones.

My first-impression favorite is "X-Ray"
