At least these new Boss pedals (the new Tape Echo and this) look like actual pedals and not two juiceboxes next to eachother like the "twin pedal" series. Even though they sounded good, they were not inspiring to look at.

Have you tried clicking the "send clock" button on the "Sync mode" area of the transport? That needs to be enabled.

With that money I'd go all in on the new fully polyphony Roland boutiques...JD-08, JX-08, and you could also get the SE-02. I own all three and love them.
