Re: How many delay pedals does a guitarist need?

At least these new Boss pedals (the new Tape Echo and this) look like actual pedals and not two juiceboxes next to eachother like the "twin pedal" series. Even though they sounded good, they were not inspiring to look at.

That's beautiful. I just picked up the Boss RPS 10, and RDD20 on the same GAS binge as my SDE3000D purchase. Also grabbed a DD-20 for good measure.

Re: How many delay pedals does a guitarist need?

This is an instabuy if you have the cash. Has 8 bucket brigade chips inside, the digital control is a gamechanger and nothing that's out now comes close. I think this will be a classic. I resisted getting the new SDE 3000D but I copped the actual rack unit from Japan on ebay for a steal- works perfe...

Re: Reason Clock Issue When Tracking?

Hello, I've recently started tracking stereo guitar and noticed something odd - I have a Roland Jazz Chorus with 1 sm57 on each speaker, going into the pre's of a focusrite scarlett 18i20 (channel 1 and 2) that was modded by Black Lion Audio. I noticed when I record the mics to 1 stereo track in Re...

Re: Reason Clock Issue When Tracking?

Thank you! This sounds promising - yes channel 1 comes in later than channel 2. It's version 11.3.9. I was having latency issues with 12 when it first released so reverted back to 11. I will report back with test results.

Have you tried clicking the "send clock" button on the "Sync mode" area of the transport? That needs to be enabled.

With that money I'd go all in on the new fully polyphony Roland boutiques...JD-08, JX-08, and you could also get the SE-02. I own all three and love them.

Re: New Laptop: Wait until Windows 11 comes stock?

I would at least consider an MSI Creator 15, a little bigger screen wise but also potentially a bit more powerful where it matters, also still cheaper than the Razor you're looking at. The Dell XPS 13 has also become a popular choice for portable music production, not the one I got, that was ages a...

Re: Laptop CPU- Help Deciding

Ended up going with the Dell XPS 9305 13" https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/xps-13-laptop/spd/xps-13-9305-laptop . Found this model after some digging on their site...It offers the i7 1165G7 chip and no touch screen...and was 700 USD less than the more recent model 9310 with the i7 1195g7...

Laptop CPU- Help Deciding

Hello I'm now looking at Dell XPS laptops and wondering if I should get the i5-1135G7 chip or the i7-1195G7. My main concern is minimizing Audio Rendering time (when I'm exporting tracks to .WAV), and less of a concern but still important is fan noise and battery life. I don't like touch screens but...

Re: New Laptop: Wait until Windows 11 comes stock?

Thank you for the input. What laptop brand would you recommend? Looking for something with equivalent or better power than the 11th gen i7 1165g7 chip, 13" screen, Reason would be the most intensive task it needs to perform (no gaming or the like). Thank you

New Laptop: Wait until Windows 11 comes stock?

I'm looking at the Razer Stealth 13" with the i7 1165G7 11th-Gen intel processor (the latest model) but it comes with Windows 10 and a free upgrade to 11 "when available". In my experience, every computer I've ever owned that I upgraded Windows on acted erratic and unstable at the end of it's life. ...

Do you still love the nanoKontrol2? I'm trying to decide between the P1 and the Korg and you'd be a great person to ask! Is it easy to setup and use in Reason?
I do! Still use it every day pretty much.

ABILITY TO TURN GROUPING ON AND OFF

I constantly "ride" the Shift key when making adjustments to SSL channel faders, and find that if one SSL channel is highlighted (with the blue outline) and I hold Shift to micro-adjust a different channel fader with my mouse arrow, I have to click on the target channel first (to select the channel)...

Re: R12 Lagging

Prob RAM leak bug. It's been fixed a few times as I recall. Save project and restart your comp. Should go away. What system are you on? Just confirmed it happens when Reason is the only program I have open (not multi tasking with other programs). I did try restarting my PC and it did not go away. I...

Re: R12 Lagging

So Hyperthreading settings didn't work. Something is happening about an hour after the project's been open that suddenly makes the browser and other commands very laggy. It just happened - goes from acting normal to lagging at the drop of a hat. Is Reason being actively used throughout that hour? T...

Re: R12 Lagging

What I discovered after installing R12, is that pressing Tab to look at the back of the rack take now sometimes more than a second, even with only one stock instrument freshly added. No zoom activated. With R11 Suite, it was instantaneous on that same computer. Yes that was my experience too, but o...

R12 Lagging

Hello all, I recently upgraded from Reason Suite 11 to Reason 12.2.3. The issue I'm experiencing is a lag/latency in certain keyboard, mouse, and browser functions after I've had a project open for about 2+ hours. Everything runs fine until it's been open long enough such that the nn-xt sample brows...

Re: Kong Master Fx "On" Button

Nope. Just checked it and the master bus button makes no difference. You've either got something else going on or it could even be psychosomatic. Best way to check is to enable and watch the Big Meter at the top of the rack when you toggle it. For sure. I'm seeing no difference either. I have a cou...

Kong Master Fx "On" Button

Say you have all your Kong pads routed to the Master kong output. You don't have any Bus Fx or Master Fx (just blank plates) but the "On" buttons are engaged for each. Would this affect the Kong master output volume in any way? I feel like I'm hearing a very slight volume bump when Master Fx is "On"...

Re: Kilohertz Tape Stop "pop" sound

Hi All, when I put the Kilohertz Tape Stop RE on the master bus and automate the Bypass/On switch, there's a noticeable pop when it switches from "bypass" to "on" and vice versa. Anybody know a way around this? Is it a latency thing? A lot of devices pop when turning them on. Just the hard edge fro...
