Re: (Poll) What's your gender?
The wording is not political and if you see it as such it just shows on which side of the fence you stand. The political fence. Exactly. That's why it's a political post. It's assuming one side of the political fence to be truth. But science is on my side. I was referencing Dr. McHugh's analogy of ...

Hopefully one day I will use Reason to produce other people's music as a full time gig.

Re: (Poll) What's your gender?
The wording of this poll is political. I'd suggest it be locked if political/religious posts are banned. Not everyone agrees that people's feelings define who we are. As in anorexia. A thin person may feel like they're fat, but that's not the reality. In the same way a person with male anatomy may f...

Re: Preview and beta call for new Ochen K synth
My latest RE is getting ready for beta testing. It’s a waveshaping synth called 4MER (pronounced either “Former” or “Vormer” depending on how international I’m feeling that day.) Here’s a screen shot of the front: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6582144/4mer_front.jpg And here’s a video showing...

Re: What's cooking
Ok, let's give this thread a secular on-topic bump, what's on your stove/oven/grill/plate this fine sunday? :) I just cooked a bunch of De Cecco Rigatoni nicely al dente and tossed them into this clam chowder'ish sauce I made yesterday, awesome stuff... The recipe goes something like this: Mince on...

My main want for R9 is more gratitude and less entitled complaining from the Reason community.

Re: Best didgeridoo NNXT patch or ReFill?
When I wanted a didgeridoo I searched on youtube for someone playing that and choped it up the way I needed :P And then you asked their permission I trust? If it was an Aboriginie playing, be aware that it's a sacred instrument for them, and changing the key on them would be quite offensive, as the...

WARNING: if this post is too deep for you please ignore it. Peter & Jappe Limits are essential to everything. There is no life-form without a structure and therefore resulting limits. It always amuses me when I see people try to say there are no limits as it denies the laws of nature (physics). Oft...

Re: Spanish Guitar loops/rex files
Thanks for the great advice. I have googled this, but thought it might be a good idea to ask the opinion of a community, blah blah blah. First post here and likely my last. Thanks, Emerton. I posted tongue in cheek! Come on, the post was begging for it. :) I'm sure others will chime in anyway. All'...

Hi to all, Reason user Hugh Wilson sent me a link to a track that he has produced by only using the ReFill Digital Genome . ALL non-vocal sounds are from the ReFill - its a great track, and it shows what can be done with the ReFill ... Best regards, Harald | Soundcells http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9NX...

Re: Will we ever get Reason on Android?
I know its available for ipad, but is anything in the pipeline for Android devices? I don't really care for the apple line, so buying one is not an option. I know of Caustic and Supreme, but I would like a version of Reason for Android. Do you mean Rebirth, or Figure or Take? Reason isn't available...

Re: Don't tell me what to do (I got my own idea)
Oh, now I completely misunderstand music, eh? You still completely misunderstand the point of the discussion, I didn't elevate any genre or performer over another, nor did anyone else. You did so when you said this: "Mastering your instrument is an art in itself but you can't just put writing, arra...

Re: Don't tell me what to do (I got my own idea)
Being on pitch, on time and attentive isn't making you more of an artist, its making you a good player. Mastering your instrument is an art in itself but you can't just put writing, arranging and putting together a whole opus on the same level as playing a part in it. If you are one of those musici...

Re: Don't tell me what to do (I got my own idea)
Emerton, you keep missing the point and you make it quite obvious you do - nobody ever said that classical musicians are not artists. Just that their job when sitting in an orchestra is NOT bringing in an artistic vision but bringing the technique to implement one. You've called them factory worker...
