Equivocate Match EQ

Been playing around with Equivocate and in particular the Match EQ function and have to say I got some quite impressive results. If you got this when it was free and have cause to use the match EQ function it's not that intuitive and it took a bit to get my head round how to set it up so a couple of...

Re: Propellerhead Reason 10 New Feature Request

Scalable UI - this is now very overdue Tags for presets Overall graphics update / overhaul for older rack devices (for example Redrum, NN19, NNXT, Subtractor) they look and feel outdated Stereo Spread knob for ALL reason synths, because they all sound 'old' and mono, unless you individually add spr...

And u get the option of e and g on one channel if that even mattered to u. I tend to type better when im not on a phone. Cheers mate not too fussed really just wondered if the Waves plug sounded significantly better than the Props SSL as I know they put a lot of work into their modelling. Nice one ...

Re: Waves G Series versus reason SSL

As the G Series form Waves is on sale for $29 today I wondered if anyone has had the chance to compare the results from this plugin to the Reason SSL channel strip? Cheers Aiden I did. I have Duende, Waves, Plugin Alliance , Acustica and i use UAD SSL plugins. To my findings Waves is definitely wor...

Oracle Reverb

Just bought this for £13 (normally £130 apparently) and had a quick play with it. Wow. So many easy to use and effective controls and sounds great - proper nice bit of kit. Can't really commend it highly enough at the price, well worth a look and it honestly looks like something the Props woulda don...

Re: identical performance after bouncing everything to audio

Hi all I've got an overly complicated song that I thought would be much easier to mix if I bounced almost everything to audio, which I did track by track. I've now got 63 tracks of audio and only 2 rack synth tracks left that are playing a not too complicated bassline and some synth chords for a vo...

Re: identical performance after bouncing everything to audio

:SOLVED: I've noticed the computer fan getting louder for a while now so just on the off chance I opened it up and found the heat-sink between the CPU and the CPU fan was coated in a 3mm thick layer of dust so I got a knife between the fan blades and scraped the dust off and hoovered it out of there...

Re: identical performance after bouncing everything to audio

Update - I copied the song file to a USB stick, took it to work and opened it on my iMac. I've taken the built in input and output down to a buffer size of 64 samples and added a Thor to check what the latency is like and it's non-existent. I'm now listening to the song played back from the USB stic...

Re: identical performance after bouncing everything to audio

Hi guys, I've got a 2 TB 7200 rpm WD Blue HDD, 4 GHz I7 4790 CPU and 16 GB RAM. The song file is only 2 GB so I would have thought from a performance point of view it would make sense for Reason to copy all the audio (in fact the whole song file) into RAM rather than stream it from disk. SSD would o...

Re: identical performance after bouncing everything to audio

Hi Selig, there's 63 tracks at 24 bit 44.1 Khz. Mostly I'll have around the same amount of tracks but a mix of audio and midi and would routinely have to up the buffer rate to be able to cope. I wouldn't usually bounce everything but thought this may be beneficial as things were getting overly compl...

Did you print all your effects to the audio files? Sometimes it's the effects.

HI mate, you cracked it for me - that works a treat - many thanks :D It's group 36 - layer 1 filter cutoff if anyone else is looking for this. Combi learn function would probably be the best way to go and I can't imagine it would be too difficult to implement so fingers crossed. Tutorial would proba...

synthmaster automation

Anyone managed to successfully get automation working with Synthmaster? I'm just trying to automate the cutoff but no automation is recorded.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I did look but couldn't find anything.

I'm on Win 10 and my Balance needs disconnecting and reconnecting again at least once a session but then that is an unsupported version of Windows and the Balance is getting on a bit now to be fair. Have you tried another USB cable?

120 BPM

Anyone seen 9.5 keep opening something at 120BPM rather than the tempo it was saved at? Not a problem cos I just adjust the tempo when the song's opened but still...

And apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere - had a quick look and couldn't see anything anywhere else.

Cheers

Re: I feel sad

Your new TV should be fine mate. Try maybe using a different cable and looking a little deeper into your video settings. A TV probably won't be quite as sharp as a dedicated monitor (depending on the quality of the TV) but should be more than capable of displaying the output from a computer. Remembe...

Re: Balance with Windows 10?

Mine works ok with Win 10. Few little quirks like having to unplug it and plug it back in occasionally but thankfully I haven't had any of the problems others report. And no I wouldn't be very happy also if I had these problems and Props wouldn't help.
