Re: Blamco Equalizer Pack vs Red Rock Equivalents
I don’t have the BlamCo to test, but if the results you show were happening for everyone, the product would be totally unusable! There must be some other explanation for what you’re seeing… Exactly, that‘s why I‘m careful with my conclusions and don‘t blame (no pun intended) BlamCo. EDIT: I did a (...

Re: Blamco Equalizer Pack vs Red Rock Equivalents
Have you found the cause for that comb filter like response? Meanwhile what Pultec emu are you leaning towards? No unfortunately not. :( I tried it with other settings (e.g. 48KHz) but with same results. Since I cannot confirm the results in any other way (and I cannot rule out the possibility that...

Or you ignore the Bundle with the Neve EQ's and stick with MP-5 for €43,00 After all, it is 2 EQ's in one!luckygreen wrote: ↑19 May 2024For EUR 54,00 (~ USD 59,00) incl taxes it is the most expensive bundle. Though it has Neve EQ emulations included. So there's that.

Re: Blamco Equalizer Pack vs Red Rock Equivalents
I'm in the same boat (not yet decided), and I have tested the candidates (also e.g. Kuassa EVE MP-5) with Bertom EQ Curve Analyser (https://bertomaudio.com/eq-curve-analyzer.html). The Blamco Program EQ was so far the only one that gave me nasty artefacts on the diagram: Screenshot 2024-05-19 at 14....

Re: Announcing Reason 13
In defense of Reason Studio: a lot of other vendors are now doing the same (DAWs as well as VST plugins) as I easily can see in my “Music” folder. What other vendors are you seeing do this? I have a lot of plug-ins, and literally none of them do this (save for the aforementioned Melodyne). Back fro...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
They install stuff to the user music directory, which is kind of like rubbing salt into a wound. Not only will you have to waste system disk space on it, but now you have to manually tailor your backup strategy with exceptions, etc. to accommodate them throwing Gigabytes of data in the User Music d...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Uh really? Didn’t expect that they did it the easy way by using system functionality. That’s indeed a flaw. I have my entire sample lib (50GB) in FLAC format. Given that I someday might revert to Windows that would be a major bummer.

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Reason already has FLAC support: it can import any FLAC file. Only missing part is the export of the mixdown.SoundFactor wrote: ↑10 May 2024Will there be FLAC support because its kind of ridiculous that Reason 12 doesn't support it?

I'm Still Loving R11 RRP In Live ;) https://gifs.eco.br/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/gifs-do-michael-jackson-comendo-pipoca-2.gif For what it‘s worth, the RRP has significantly improved with R12 in both, memory usage and size. Iirc the size of the RRP in R11 was roughly 400MB on my Mac, while it‘s no...

I would use a free re which i can't remember the name of right now but I'm sure someone else here can tell you the exact name. It's something with a/b. There's two of them, but one of them will be the one you need. Either the ones from pongasoft: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/browse/?developer...

Re: Presonus ruffling feathers with their latest update.
It‘s even worse: With the update they did break VST things, telling „we improved compatibility“, and have the cuzpe to let the plugin developers do the cleanup stuff. And a bunch of newly introduced bugs. I cannot help but feel the updates are rushed more and more. It‘s been 5 years since I switched...

Re: Do you get a lot of use out of the Reason players?
Much love for BeatMap here. It usually produces quite nice drum loops - at least more to my liking than the ready-to-use audio loops. But as stated before: use it for synths with percussion sounds. For example with the „Taiko Drums“ preset from Friktion. Instant Japanese drum performance!

@luckygreen: Thanks for the tip, but on VST side my go-to Widener is „Wider“ by Polyverse: https://polyversemusic.com/products/wider/ I don‘t know what they are doing, but this plugin has none of the drawbacks. I just works and is mono compatible. That‘s why I was interested in a equally good RE sol...

Re: Tonicmint ST Imager
Decent GUI and feature rich - looks like a good tool. But this made me hesitant: Stereoizer (makes stereo signal from mono signal by introducing small delay for a side) Ok, this is the Haas effect, well known. But with easy accessibility - why not? But this effect has two flaws (if major or minor is...

It has been a very productive year for me: 2 tracks. Apart from the exception during the corona lockdowns, my average is more like <1 per year.
