Reason 10 support arrives for rsTouch!
We just released a new version of rsTouch (2.9.0). This release is mostly about Reason 10 support, including all of the wonderful new Reason 10 instruments and effects. Six Reason devices and Rack Extensions were added; rsTouch now supports 130 Reason devices, REs, and VSTs. New Reason Devices: Euro...

Re: rsTouch update delivers improvements, new REs, plus some VSTs
Long shot but any chance of Grid64G support? Would be pretty damn cool! Thanks for the suggestion. I've added it to our list of requested REs. Out of curiosity, have you tried ReDrum's sequencer as a possible substitute gate sequencer? It's step sequencer is well integrated with rsTouch since PH up...

rsTouch update delivers improvements, new REs, plus some VSTs
We just released a new version of rsTouch (2.8.0). This release was mostly about “behind the scenes” improvements but it also includes a number of new REs, a few VSTs, plus some improvements to other RE and Reason device panels. This brings the device support count to over 120. New REs: Propellerhea...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
iPad Air 1 iOS10 Probably not going to upgrade it to iOS11 iPhone 6s iOS10 Probably not going to upgrade it to iOS11 Some of the features from RetouchDuo eg. drum sequencer. If you add this perhaps adding Ableton Link would help to keep everything in sync. Thanks for the feedback. The drum sequence...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
Thanks, I'll have a look at it when I get back. I think it might not be neither rsTouch nor Reason but some issue with rtpMIDI, network or something else. I'll get back to you. Yes, please do contact me once you have had a look at this. It could be an rsTouch (or codec) bug that your set up has exp...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
Hmm, I thought it was suppose to be locked to Master Section. I don't get any options that include the mixer. I have all templates locked to Master Section but whenever I close a song-file and open a new one, I have to press the red blinking dot top right and go through connection again. You are ri...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
1) Devices, REs and VSTs aside, the thing I desire the most to be added is the app's ability to update automatically when a new song-file is loaded in Reason. That's about it I think, there's so much good stuff crammed in the app, it's hard for me to think of anything else. Oh, apart from maybe mak...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
rsTouch is a great product! I use it all the time. Any updates coming soon? Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread. Seemed like an opportune time to ask. Since the OP also chimed in with the same question I'll answer. We are pretty old school about not discussing future plans but I will say that rsT...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
Don't get me wrong, I think the controls are good and accurate in rsTouch except in the "live" situation i was on about, I think it will be easier to grab a Tuna knob quickly without having to worry so much where my other fat fingers are :puf_wink: But it really is a minor problem, a Quality of Lfe...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
I agree that they would be better for performing, because they are tactile, and a touch screen is not. Plus you could "feel" for the right knob. However I doubt they would be more precise, and suspect they would be less precise in actual use. rsTouch's rotary ballistics are tuned to provide smooth r...

Re: rsTouch + Tuna Knobs - anyone tried it?
We have not tested the Tuna Knobs with rsTouch but I doubt they will work. rsTouch's rotary controls are designed so that they change value when you move your finger vertically. So the rotating action of the Tuna knobs is not going affect rsTouch's rotaries properly. Our rotaries are capable of conv...

Re: Reason SSL Mixer Hardware Controller
You should look into our iOS app, rsTouch Pro. It offers full multi-touch control of the SSL, eight channels at a time, and control over the master section (including monitoring). It also has full transport control with five programmable "locate" buttons, and a "jog strip" for scrubbing. There is a...

Re: Reason SSL Mixer Hardware Controller
I could see dropping $1500 on a Center Channel system like Selig described. I've also thought it would be cool if Propellerhead offered a tablet app that could control the SSL....why is that not a thing already? You should look into our iOS app, rsTouch Pro. It offers full multi-touch control of th...

Re: Multitimbral Synth as External MIDI Instr. - double Notes
Some DAWs have an option so that you can select which external MIDI instruments have MIDI from the controllers forwarded and which do not. Cubase, if I remember correctly, calls this "MIDI Thru". Basically when this is on MIDI sent to the input of a MIDI track is always sent on to the MIDI instrumen...

Re: Multitimbral Synth as External MIDI Instr. - double Notes
What is happening is that your synth is indeed receiving two notes every time you press a key. The first is the local note itself, the second is from Reason. Reason sends MIDI events from all of the active controllers to the whichever synth is assigned to the active sequencer track. So when your Rol...

Re: *** rsTouch/rsRemote, iOS 10, and rtpMIDI compatibility issue ***
I fielded a question related to the iOS 10 and rtpMIDI compatibility issue in a different thread that I wanted to also post here for anyone who is still following this thread. Tobias released a new version of rtpMIDI recently. We did some testing of his latest rtpMIDI version in November against iOS...

Re: rsTouch update delivers Parsec 2 compatibility
Hi, I saw that Tobias has updated loopMIDI. Have you been participated in his beta or do you know this new version is iOS 10 compatible? I think you may have meant to say Tobias has updated rtpMIDI; loopMidi is a separate utility. Yes, we did some testing of the latest rtpMIDI release against iOS 1...

Re: rsTouch update delivers Parsec 2 compatibility
There are also some improvements for iOS 10. Was the connection issue resolved? Do we need to get a different version of rtpMIDI? There really has not been any official progress on the rtpMIDI front. The previous update of rsTouch (2.7.6) provided a work around so that on iOS 10 it could connect to...

rsTouch update delivers Parsec 2 compatibility
We just released a new version of rsTouch (2.7.7) that includes support for Propellerhead’s Parsec 2. Parsec 2 is different enough from Parsec 1 that new rsTouch panels are required. Unfortunately there is no way to automatically detect whether you have Parsec 1 or Parsec 2 installed on your compute...

We just released a new version of rsRemote, version 1.0.2, that contains the same code changes we released last week in rsTouch to address the iOS 10 network MIDI/rtpMIDI problem. The update is making its way through Apple's servers and should be available from your local iTunes Store as an update s...

Re: Some hopefully good news! *** rsTouch/rsRemote, iOS 10, and rtpMIDI compatibility issue ***
Got it. Are there any negatives to the code changes you made in rsTouch to fix this for now? I'm just going to assume Tobias never gets rtpMidi updated due to Apple's legendary lack of movement. Not to be evasive but that's hard to answer since we just deployed this change widely. We had to make ch...

Re: Some hopefully good news! *** rsTouch/rsRemote, iOS 10, and rtpMIDI compatibility issue ***
No. The underlying compatibility issue between iOS 10 and rtpMidi is still there. The code that we put into rsTouch (and are adding to rsRemote) side-steps the issue.EnochLight wrote:Does Tobias have a new version of rtpMIDI that we're supposed to use with 2.7.6?

There is an app for ipad, if you have that that acts like a controller. Just google IOS Reason and it should come up. Not sure if this helps, but I just thought I should throw it out there. We just released rsTouch version 2.7.6. It should be available for download from your local iTunes Store as an update shortly. Here's the current status: 1. As of last week the rtpMIDI developer is still investigating the problem and pursuing dis...
