Re: Softube won't be making REs anymore :(
SofTube leaving RE's? No sweat here, their stuff was a tad overrated IMHO, and we have the VST option if I want anything from em. I'm all about original Reason content with RE's anyways.

Re: Complex-1 low adoption rate? I just bought it, did you?
It's my favorite Prop synth hands down. And, yes I'll say it, much better than the Arturia Easel. They really nailed it and it's a must have IMHO.

Re: Anyone else looking forward to the May Madness Sale?
Not much in the shop that I'm looking forward to...unless Resonans went on sale. Complex-1 has taken all my time and is worth every penny. Nice n deep synth. Here's to hoping that we'll get more modular type stuff in the shop in the future.

Re: kiloHearts' Phaseplant modular synth - out Spring '19!
Would be interesting to see how it compares to KV331 Synthmaster, it takes wavetables, and multisamples, and audio-rate modulation, etc, for $39... (if you have the $5 Player) There is some serious competition out there... *This* Way too much competition for a synth that's not really setting itself...

Re: Do you try before you buy?
I "try" before I buy everything. That simply negates becoming one of those peeps who whine incessantly about selling off their RE's or regretting a purchase. I don't understand why peeps would instabuy without trying it out for a good fit. I knew I'd love Complex-1. Knew it. Still tried it out befor...

Re: What is your top 5 rack extension and why
1- Synapse Audio The Legend. Seriously best RE in the rack, arguably better than Diva in sound and CPU. 2- Lectric Panda PSQ-1684. We need more modular stuff like this. Oh hell, just put every RE the Panda has made on this list. 3- Zvork Oberon. Awesome pad machine. I loves the pads. 4- Ochen K Glit...

Re: Easiest way to build an "always-on" sample-based noise generator in Reason?
Use the wonderfully majestic and underrated free Blue Chip refill. It comes with many always on noise machines and has quite a few sample loading combis. Whomever created this refill is a madman and worthy of a big fat smooch. That is all.

Re: Non, je ne regrette rien....or?
I don't regret any of my RE purchases, because I tested them all thoroughly until the trial was up, and then decided if I was going to miss em enough to buy. I don't mess with IDT romplers, but I'd still buy a fistful of RE's if they were updated to include sample import. Now that I think about it, ...

Re: Do you think reason will ever get a better sampler?
NN-XTra...perfect. It is getting a little long in tooth. That said, a long while ago, I used the Reason Drum Kits refill templates to create complete Analogue Drums kits, and these are still lighter on CPU than Kontakt...on my machine. I still like programming in the NNXT...even if it's rusty.

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
I'm pleased as punch with Reason, but if I have some first world probs with it, then... 1. Notes To Track for all RE's. I don't presume to know the RE SDK, but why this hasn't been implemented is God's own private mystery. I know, the Players are a workaround, but other than the dual arp, I don't pe...

Re: How Did Reason Miss The Modular Boat So Badly
I don't see how cables on the front would be trouble to many, especially if it included the hide cables function we already have. Just use another rack side for the modular. I envision getting modules through the RE store and adding them to the rack through a modular type device. I'd buy that, but t...

Re: How Did Reason Miss The Modular Boat So Badly
I'd say that as soon as the rack can allow modules with cabling on the front, then the modular madness will come. I got no probs with cables on the front, IMHO it's the only reason why we haven't seen an MS20 RE. Let's hope it happens, because while I enjoy Reason as a semi modular system, it would ...

Re: UMPF Club Drums RE
I imagine if this had all the features and sequencer of the drum player included, then it'd be an instant hit. Also, since everyone has a bloody hard drive full of drum samples, it would be cool to have a DL option without the soundbank. I digress. Pretty cool looking device.

Re: For those who create in Reason and mix in another DAW: what's your workflow?
I don't see the point in jumping DAW's just to mix. I bounce a stem or two if I'm gonna use one of those old timer 32 bit VST's LOL. The Reason mixer is just as good as any, and I think it's terrific to mix with.

Re: Softphonics are done???!!
But this is exactly the issue - the latest IDT's and RE's are just the tip of the iceberg. There are the huge NNXT based orchestra libraries such as EncoRE, EmbouchuRE, timbRE, and so on. :( I get what you're saying, but I maintain that there's a difference. There are plenty of peep's sampling from...

Re: Softphonics are done???!!
I never gave Softphonics a second thought, mostly because I think IDT based RE's are stupid when you have the NNXT and things like Kontakt available. Romplers...uggh. That said, I hope this is rectified in a nice manner and that those who did wrong, if any, are taught a lesson that this business is ...
