Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)
Propellerhead could have been the Elektron of DAWs, but everything went to hell after the new CEO took over. Now it's just a sad relic of the past.

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?
I switched to Bitwig. Reason is a mess and the development speed is just embarrassing. I still use the Reason plugin and have been spending a lot of time bouncing Reason projects. Going back to Reason feels like jumping back 15 years. I can't even navigate the arranger in a somewhat normal way and a...

Re: How to disable "Drag & Drop" in Reason? It is terrible.
Why do you need to move devices around if it's not to change the routing?? I rarely need this feature and it doesn't even make sense in the context of a hardware rack. Imagine trying to turn a knob on a rack but instead, the entire unit gets randomly moved.

Re: Is ReasonStudios server down?
Yes servers have been down quite a few times the last few days. Not a great sig. The assert failure is also particularly nasty, forcing me to force quit Reason and Bitwig. I guess they're on summer holiday. Funny that Reasontalk is more reliable than the Reason website and service. Maybe it's time f...

Re: How to disable "Drag & Drop" in Reason? It is terrible.
I actually find Reason DAW almost unusable because of this. Reason Studios need to allow players to turn off dragging without holding down shift. EVERY TIME I need to move a device in the rack I hold the shift key, unless I need to move an entire group, but I'm sure that can be a button combination ...

ValhallaVintageVerb Combinator (fceramic)
I love this reverb so I decided to made a Combinator for it. Other than moving the mix knob to the right side, the layout is the same as the plugin. I also fine tuned the mode sliders to work correctly. Enjoy!- 01 Aug 2022

KLEVGR. REAMP Combinator
Here's REAMP in Reason! I remade the GUI to look like the original plugin but fit the 2U Combinator and smaller controls.
This plugin is such a hidden gem. Makes anything sound more analog and alive. DOWNLOAD

Re: Is Reason Studios falling apart?
It’s true till the point you want to remote control the devices and then you really miss Remote ! That's actually one of the parts that make it more convenient in Bitwig. How it's done in Bitwig is just genius. You can save presets in Bitwig with their own mapping and you can have 8 pages of 8 cont...

Permut8 Combinator
Permut8_v1.2 Screenshot.jpg I made a combinator for my favourite FX plugin of all time, Permut8! The interface is using parts of the original GUI, but less focus on the instructions since they are much easier to adjust in the plugin UI. I have to say that the combinator 2 tech is really basic, so I...

Re: Is Reason Studios falling apart?
There are some big optimists in this forum! It's pretty easy to see that Reason Studios is not doing well. They are lagging behind in every department and have made some truly out-of-touch business decisions. Bitwig is like a dream software, but I have used Reason for 15 years, so it feels so famili...

Re: Launchkey Mini Mk3 terrible with Reason :(
The Drum mode does not seem to do anything when using the remote map. The custom mode just turns the pads chromatic which is not very useful since I can't transpose them. I really like the AKAI mini but that it doesn't have transport controls was a bit of a deal breaker. Besides the keys, I think th...

Launchkey Mini Mk3 terrible with Reason :(
I purchased this mainly for Bitwig, but since there was official support for Reason I gave it a go. I doubt the person who made this did any QA testing as there are so many fundamental flaws. 1. Drum pads do not work! The pads are only used for selecting which Kong pad to control with the knobs. Use...

Re: Scenic!!!
I don't think it is the worst in Reason Studios' increasingly disappointing RE releases. Layers, Umphf and that absurd Processed Pianos (the refill version sounds better and uses 1/10 of the CPU) are all that I would call underwhelming, uninspiring, unoptimised and with terrible page-heavy menus and...

Re: Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
I was excited to get back into Reason after a few years of lousy performance in 10 and 11 (the UI was constantly laggy on my Mac). While things run smoother it's still a mess. This does not feel like a premium at all. I have audio driver issues, pops, stutters, dropouts etc, weird GUI glitches, stil...

Re: Dropping the Weight
I do agree with Senic being a terrible offering. What happened to not having loads of tabs and hiding features? Even says so on their product page. Otherwise I think Reason is Reason. It has some cool unique features and everything is for the most part WYSIWYG (except for that stupid floating tool w...

None of the presets were inspiring or impressive. It just sounds grainy, thin and compressed. Try comparing this to something like Omnisphere or a nice cinematic Kontakt library. I think Grain sounds great, so I'm not sure what's going on here.

Re: Sale on Jiggery Pokery effects in shop
Bought Animus. Tested it when it came out and couldn't remember what I thought of it. Massively disappointed with the sound quality. Been going through presets and tweaking for days and I still can't get a pleasant sound out of it. It's good for unpleasant sound effects, but this is no shimmer rever...

Re: Selig ColoringEQ In The Shop!
This sounds awesome, but I think I'll wait for Spectre. Mid/side, tons of saturation algorithms, beautiful responsive interface, vst-format and 69€ intro price. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=61&v=p79WAU64AEw Is saturation EQs a new trend? Update: If ColoringEQ was 30€ I would buy it, b...

Re: Which VST Plug In(s)?
I already have loads of VST synths which I use in Bitwig, but I'll list my favorites that I really look forward to using in Reason. Microtonic - Essential and extremely musical drum machine Ohmicide - Multiband distortion and general sound shaper Aalto - Emulates Buchla synths with a wonderful inter...

I might be wrong, but there doesn't seem to be a way to change the direction of the emitters. That's a pretty important feature in a granular synth.
Of course I can just reverse the sample, but would be pretty handy.

Great features, but please give it a conventional user interface. It doesn't have to be this cramped and please have regular right clickable controls. The led concept is cute, but limiting and not particularly inviting. Would have to ditch the custom displays to do what you ask, which would mean no...

Re: Synapse The Legend Synthesizer is in the Shop
I downloaded the VST version now that it's out. Quite interesting being able to do a proper comparison. The VST version uses almost half the CPU which is interesting. It also allows automation of all the controls on the back which I find a bit unfair to the Reason users.

Re: *Updated* POLL: What's the Main Thing Keeping You From Working in Reason 100%
Other: Pretty simple actually. Reason does not have a session mode like in Live and Bitwig. Being able to record in a completely non-linear way is an amazing workflow. Love to just create loops and then create a palette that I can arrange later. Other reason is of course the lack of VST. RE can stil...
