Re: My journey with Reason+
I dont mind a subscription based system. However I agree the pricetag for r+ is too high comparing to others. And i don't like the idea of having to upgrade a reason peepetual to keep opening your fkles if you opt out the subscription. For me a 2 year sub should give you acces to a perpetual licenc...

Re: Control Surface customisation
Mapping to Port B did work, but thanks for the advice. Akai natively allows you to send signals on two channels so by just editing the preset I can send the signals to two different rack devices. Locking the MPD to the Master Section works but it’s still a bit of a hack. Ultimately I think I’m stym...

Re: Control Surface customisation
Issue one seems to be the same as my BCR2000, where it loads 2 interfaces at the same time. Ignore the interfaces 2 to 4 and begone. The only thing you must do is to be sure the additional interfaces are disabled on the easy midi inputs if there's a chance they start sending data at the same time. F...

Jazzy Pop - Cabaret's Street
Hi, folks! We have a new EP released past week. As usual most of the production phase was done in Reason, guitars, piano and wind instruments, vocals and drums. The drums were recorded both with reason and a Zoom for the overheads due to channel limitation on the drummer's house but we were able to ...

Re: J Chris Griffin Studio Piano in the Shop
Just chimming in... Has anyone looked at the ram comsumption of this piano? It loads almost 4 GB alone, that's the most "expensive" Re in reason. I get it is super dynamic but it is a lot for a piano. Good stuff cames at a price. I don't "blame" the developer but the fact that reason has never had t...

Re: What are your plans RE-wise for Black Friday?
Didn't have many needs as I've been accumulating stuff over the years and I'm even a bit overwhelmed with so much stuff. Anyway out of sale and mostly because I'm having a bad feeling about his stuff getting out I got repeat from Ochen K. I also got maia and studio piano these ones are less than 60%...

Re: J Chris Griffin Studio Piano in the Shop
I must be sleeping under a rock, i didn't see this. Its both super natural and at the same time a lot versatile despite having a single piano. At the price of the black friday it was a no brainer. Anyway, for my first thoughts, and its difficult not to compare with other pianos in reason, functional...

Re: "Black Friday Week" sales have begun in the Reason shop!
(...)I expected that. RS seperated the two by their feature set / parameter set although both share the same synthesis technique. From RS point of view it is best to sell both instead of just one. More or less like that. The thing with phisical modelling on instruments, is that you mode...

Re: "Black Friday Week" sales have begun in the Reason shop!
To stay in budget I have to choose: - Do I get Friktion Modeled Strings -- EUR 54,00 -- though I already have Objekt Modeling Synthesizer? (...) Friktion and Objekt are different things. Friktion emulates frictioned string instruments, like violins and cellos, though it's a pretty versatile instrum...

Re: Reason Suite 11 License for sale
I would sell for 199 Euros. Sorry the euro is low currently. Just got registered for this forum. I've been on an old version of Reason for a long time, also been on extended hiatus from producing music for many years. I've been shopping for a discounted v.11 full suite license. I will check back he...

They got discontinued. You can get U-Jam Virtual Guitarist, wich will yeld very simmilar results (U-Jam did the coding and sampling for the A-Lists, and i think they even helped creating : https://www.ujam.com/guitarist/?gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3JanBhCPARIsAJpXTx4dMyiBWD6RxocJsjf4w448v_gBySLmRiHa3p1I8cY...

Just disable stretch. Imho Automation and transitioning in mastering is time based, not tempo based.

Really? Reason has samples/samplers inside it since it's inception and you feel its only now jumped the bandwagon????simonphinix1986 wrote: ↑11 Aug 2022
Now that many manufacturers are offering samples, Reason Studios has jumped on the bandwagon.
There is splice, there are producer loops etc etc.

Re: Do you use parallel processing in your mixing?
Most of what Sheppps is doing the last 15 years is mixing very hard styles so a lot of these techniques can be wrongly applied in a lot of the stuff i do. The things he mixes is right in my ballpark, so for me there's that  His mixing techniques have evolved over time, especially since h...

Re: Do you use parallel processing in your mixing?
I take this as a bit of tongue in cheek, but to give credit where it's due, Andrew Scheps is very open about how he works and shows his actual mixing sessions where he explains things  Well... It is a bit ironic but sometimes when we kid theres a bit of truth there. It is my opinion that y...

Re: Do you use parallel processing in your mixing?
TBH, i don't feel the need to do it on everything. Sometimes i think that these super engineers say stuff like this just because they can. I'm sure they get together to drink some coffe or an apple juice and have fun on us mortals, like Dave Pensado and Andrew Shepps "ah i told those idiots i do PP ...

Re: AD 480 reverb RE alternative?
I don't have steerpike but i don't think they are the same. They are completely different, Steerpike is a multitap delay with separate delay lines. I didn't get it before because I already had Le Space, not realizing that Le Space is more aimed at creating experimental spaces with delay lines. Mayb...

Re: AD 480 reverb RE alternative?
I got The Animus and Steerpike during the latest sale. Still have to try to use them on something. I also have Zvork's Le Space, a much overlooked RE that's actually a multi-tap delay but can do some special spacey stuff. I'm a sucker for both the Animus and Flowbrush. I don't have steerpike but i ...

Re: was i dreaming or was this rack extension real ?
To be fair Radical Piano is/was marketed to be “natural sounding” and for that it fails more than it succeeds, particularly in the middle to higher octaves…Perhaps it’s a piano player thing. I share that with mcatalao Great if you intentionally want something more Lo-fi sounding though. As far as t...

https://media.giphy.com/media/l3q2PksMiN0MQC3L2/giphy.gif Sounds 100% subjective, dude. Radical Piano sounds awesome, is completely usable, has features that Refills simply cannot replicate, and... that's a fact. "But I think your frustration is that Radical Piano doesn't accurately emulate any pianos you've played, and to your ears that means = crap. I get that. But I never thought that was Radical Piano's intended purpose anyway. Could be wrong. Always thought it was more of a special effects type piano. ...

Re: Am I the only one who doesn’t write, arrange, produce, mix, master in a specific order?
I think the order is more important if you are working with other people, so if you have someone mixing and another engineer mastering, you can't do mixing stuff while editing midi or recording your stuff. Still if I do everything, despite sometimes going front and back i prefer to have a process wh...
