Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

It was the excellent, nay outstanding, supporting cast that made this worth sticking with. Tom Hardy, so often superb, seemed miscast* in a role he basically devised for himself, with his mumbling away, and the voodoo nonsense. English Subtitles for the Perfectly Normal of Hearing were de rigeur wi...

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

Been catching up on 'Taboo' with Tom Hardy, interesting but I'm undecided whether it's good, great, or just OK. :-?

Re: retouch duo thread

I've just given up on this, couldn't get the bastard to work. Fancied it on my Android phone as a trial to see if I liked it enough to buy a tablet/pad but can't get it to communicate from the phone. :(

Not been 'in the studio' for quite some time, but this is the last thing I kinda finished. I'm not sure I have a style, per se (herself says I do), but my shizz it is what it is... my sig says it all.

Just discovered The Dickies

I played Dawn of the Dickies to death (no pun intended) back in the day. Their second LP on a kinda 'dead flesh' blue vinyl. It's still on the shelf, may have to give it a spin later.

Not a gamer (not that it matters), but this is a solid track, nice balance of light and dark. The production is hot too, love the panning decisions. :) :)

POLL: Have you bought a Propellerhead Rig? (Super Saver Bundle)

No.

There's no value in buying any one of them, no 'savings' to be had over what's available, what I have already and what I'd find useful.

Do you think we over-reacted?

If asked I would have been more than happy to help moderate the old PUF (but I wasn't asked). I made no secret of the fact I felt the old PUF was under-moderated, and always thought it wouldn't take THAT much work to make it a better place... Forum moderation and administration is my bread & butter...

Reason OCD

Off the bat, I 'read' the channels on the mixer from left to right I dislike the way Reason adds new channels to the right - plus there aren't enough colours available. Anyhoo, that said, I usually end up spending time at the end of each session sorting out the sequencer lanes and mixer channels int...

Your musical work ethics

As a Virgo I have a specific methodology (one that exists within chaos). As an rank amateur I experiment and fuck up a lot. As a slacker I have little self discipline and am disinclined to work to deadlines or in a timely fashion - which can be frustrating to someone who just wants to get on with it...

I thought about that but we came to the conclusion that we would give it a test run and see how it played out. Good move. There's always a risk of insecure users becoming 'Rep Whores' bolstering their self esteem vicariously through gaining rep points on forums (I see it from time to time...

Your first "finished / shared with others" track, ...

Probably this one; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AavcQ-D5Bok It was one of eight tracks/videos knocked up to support a student protest (at the closure of the Philosophy department of Middlesex University, London in 2012). There had been other tracks 'done' prior, but this was the first completed wh...
