Izotope plugins are very good but were always CPU intensive. If you turn on the "Show CPU load for devices" in the Options menu you will see that Izotope plugins are some of the most CPU hungry devices. It is not a Reason issue, the plugins are CPU hungry on Studio One and ProTools also.

IMHO: both would be nice. but I am leaning towards VST3 support.

I've already opened several heavy songs in R12 and it is working amazingly well. I was able to lower my buffer size for songs that had 24-32 tracks with an even split of audio and instrument tracks and I had no issues. That is awesome. I still want more features in the sequencer, BUT this is working...

I have now tried a few of my heaviest songs and have had NO issues even when dropping the buffer to 64. I really appreciate that! Thank you!
I did not really need the MIMIC or Combinator 2 but hopefully I will find use for them soon.

I have been upgrading since version 2.5. I will, yet again upgrade, this time to R12.
I hope there are some surprises but I am not expecting any. As long as VST3 is on the way before end of year I am a happy camper. I have quite a few VST3 plugins I would LOVE to use in Reason.

I am hopeful that they will put out a video for the Reason DAW as well. Honestly, if they don't I will be a little more concerned about the life of the DAW. I think I paid $65.00. I will upgrade for sure, been using it since Reason 2.5.

I found another solution if you use a Mac. The MIDI SHORTCUT APP Will convert MIDI signals to keystrokes. So I mapped the buttons to the Reason key commands.
