Just wanted to bump this thread because Front8 is the baddest (best) little CV merger/splitter in the shop/rack.  It really is a wonderful device.  Just wanted to give it some more PDA.

CV tuner is great fun!  I love hooking it up to a matrix and then randomizing a 32 step pattern, then alter it until it sounds like listenable.  It's really a good way to gain some random inspiration and come up with some musical ideas outside of your comfort zone. I'm going to make myself start using blocks again.  I don't know why I strayed from them for the past 3 years.  Anyway... my next project will be block-based; perhaps it will help get me out of the creativity rut I have been feeling the past few weeks.

I used to use blocks almost exclusively, years ago when they were first introduced.  The other day I realized that I have not been using them since 2012.  I like blocks, but for some reason, I stopped using them.  I'm not sure why.

If you want a lot of extra work, you could bounce the track to audio and then remove/mute the pops manually.

I have touchpad annoyances, too.  Also running Windows 8 (which I hate), with that annoying sidebar/charm crap.  And I can't seem to turn off the charmbar because it's built into my Acer laptop drivers.  Tried to uninstall those and the touchpad wasn't functioning very well.  So I had to reinstall. ...

I don't have VGM-01, so I can't see what you have done with it, but I'm glad to have helped inspire you. 
I think this combi is really helpful to control the gain problem of the Saturation Knob.  It has a great sound, but the volume problem is (was) an issue.
