Re: Announcing Reason 13
Yes we have Scales & Chords RE though I would appreciate that feature baked into the piano roll myself. I also use scales & chords and I appreciate it, but it is less practical in certain cases than having the function directly integrated into the pianoroll (I hope that it will come one day and Rea...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I looked it up, and it appears that Reason's browser was changed to what it is currently in R9, Nope - the redesign dumping the original window pop-up browser was in Reason 8, almost a decade ago. The later versions just tweaked it. Reason 13 is sort of a return to that pop-up window, but it's far ...

And solution / fix would be very easy, as discussed in the dedicated thread. This GIF shows how editing of the notes should work: note-editing-fix.gif  + also a lengthen / shorten together one would be good like a Reaper so like this if you get me ] [ so if you have 2 notes (or works on ...

Yeah and another really easily implementable feature and very handy / useful one, a slice by song position pointer shortcut.

"the browser has been redesigned as a floating window that you open when you need it and resize as you see fit. The previous browser area is now a dedicated Device Palette that takes up less space and is focused solely on devices. " => I don't understand why sidebar style browser had to be discarde...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
You didn't explain this very well but linked clips has been a feature I've wanted for 10 years, it's absolutely baffling anyone would not want this feature and blocks isn't the same thing before anyone states that. Linked clips is basically having say for example, a 4 chord progression in a clip an...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Awesome, finally some workflow improvements! But, do you think there is hope for linked clips finally? In terms of workflow, this has always been my biggest creative brake. For example: Edit the first clip, delete the following 3 clips and then the following 4 clips after a gap, then copy the first...

I can't imagine what it must be like to be a software PM and dealing with people's constant negativity. No matter what you do, there will always be someone there to complain about it. Should we just mindlessly clap our hands? I've been paying for every update and will continue (probably), but expre...

Graphics Card
Hi All!
How essential is a decent graphics card if you're not gaming on your computer? About 2 months ago my one packed up so need another.
I'm obviously gonna just be opening vst's and running Reaper with the RRP etc.
Thanks!

Not sure about that, would Reaper do it, wouldn't surprise me if it did.robussc wrote: ↑16 Mar 2024If you have a sequencer that can handle MIDI SysEx data then it should be pretty simple:

Korg M1, installing factory sounds
Hi All!
Someone has a Korg M1 going cheap but apparently they did a factory reset and there's no sounds on it. Can these be installed online somehow, if so, how hard is it and how true to the original would they be soundwise?
Thanks!

Has Reason basically been abandoned now workflow wise? just ridiculous now. We're half way through the third month of 2024 after a year of waiting for workflow additions.

Re: Hardware Production Question
Ahh good point. So say back in 1990, could the filter cut off be controlled in say Octamed on an Amiga computer? Just checked, and indeed OctaMed had MIDI support, but I don't know if that went any further than sequencing notes (I never had an Amiga). Around that time (I think) I was running Cubase...

I had a modified Mini Moog with MIDI added (by Moog, of course) around that time and used it for such things because it was controllable from the sequencer (and has an external inp...

Hardware Production Question
Hi All! Say you were working on a dance track pre computer era on hardware and a synth sound at say 6 points in the track had the filter cut off going down and then up again (back to where it was originally), when recording that track, would an artist have to manually do that cut off effect at each ...

Now I'm curious to see a new roadmap, to know what we can still see happening in Reason 12 or possibly the announcement of a future Reason 13. Personally I would like more news on future improvements to R12 than the announcement of an R13 W...

I went to this one – well not this one, the one that followed it in March 92. No real stories other than it was fucking freezing ha ha. It was snowing at one point and the venue was more or less a circus tent in a field. https://youtu.be/9coyAYjCHvc Anyway great music and atmosphere and Fierce Ruli...

So true. The music went To hell in ’93. What was that band that had hoodies and covid masks? Something with 8 in the name. Maaaan. Cheesy Happy hardcore on every corner and every Gap. A sad moment for all. You are thinking of altern8 Mr Figg. Oh yeah, good ol'Altern8. They're from 20 mile up the ro...

Parks and Wilson, Sasha and Stu Allen too. Was Amnesia House an event back in the day too? Don't have any examples as I'm about to hit the sack but depends what you want really, a nice bass under it could be good, a violin or some strings accompanying it or some nice percussion, maybe not full drums but a tambourine or shaker or fingerclicks and / or claps. Even some harmonica could be ni...
