Hi everyone, I'm just wondering - I just got an Apple M1 MacBook Air, and whenever I try to start up Reason, I'm told to sync the RE licenses because Umpf 1.0.1 needs newer code, but in the Authorizer Umpf is still the only RE that says "Intel" instead of "Apple/Intel". Doesn't seem to update anythi...

This is what I get when trying to create about one third of the Arturia synths as VST3 (DX7, Buchla, Synthi...).

Finding out I HAD to sign up with a subscripction plan (Roland cloud) just to get my hands on the JD-800 VST (and buy it permanently after a year) and then realizing they only provide a VST3 version which I won't be able to use in Reason for at least the first half of 2022... boy, that was fun. Hell...

Maybe I'm a bit late on this, and maybe it's been asked before (I couldn't find a topic on it) - did R12 really kill the display of numeral values when adjusting knobs, sliders etc.?

If so - why? And will it be fixed (as no-one really could try to sell it as a feature... not even Sony... )

Pretty strange - I just got a mail that my Reason+ trial is about to expire. But afaik I never actively started the trial. Was this done automatically for existing users?

I'd consider an ati/amd video card rather than Nvidia for daw use. There's lots of anecdotal evidence around the forums that Nvidias bloated drivers can impact audio stability.

I'm building my Ryzen 3900x on an ASUS TUF B450-Plus MoBo.

That would have been my first choice if it had more USB connectors.

How much research have you done on that ASUS mobo? I have a 570 prime and I'm really not too happy with the PCH fan noise. It's not horrible, but at the same time I wish i'd gone with something else as that chipset fan has easily ended up being the loudest part of my whole rig. Thanks for that info...

I had some really old 1333 ecc server memory 16gb, and I played Star Citizen(game) and made music without issues on that machine.

Real world memory speed is a combination of latency and frequency. I got 3200's with a 3900x, because the additional benefit is so small and it can get worse if you choose a higher frequency as latency goes up. AMD has charts for this.

That's exactly my problem - I stumbled across info that with 4000 upwards, the speed is actually halfed due to technical shenanigans. So, even if it was only a joke, this suggestion might actually lead to some expensive error when buying...
