Re: Where to start?
EDS06 looks pretty interesting as well, and won't break the bank! EDS06 would be my ideal weird percussion machine, but tuning samples by ears alone is time consuming. I wish I could just choose the note. I know this is not a deal breaker for most people and some percussion sounds aren't tonal, but...

Re: Mimicking analog mixer "coloration" in Reason?
Just a quick update, I tried what I mentioned above and so far it works great. What I did was turn on Button 1 on the Thor and send it to the Gate input via CV Out 1. Then I wired one of the band level outputs of the BV512 into the CV input of the Thor. I set the ADSR of Thor's amp envelope to 0, m...

Re: Lectric Panda Generates Synchronous Vol 1 & Vol 2 [Free Refills]
Thanks again. How are you doing this magic? Most of the newer devices are based off the rack extension platform, so all the .repatch files are just human readable/editable XML. I just write some software to generate them. The software uses a mix of rules and random generation to generate pleasing r...

Re: Jiggery Pokery Ammo
I had similar questions and ended up buying the 400. Are you into sound design and experimentation? A lot of fun for $9. I already have the Blamsoft PolyMod set up so it fits right in with it. I've just scratched the surface honestly. With all of the Waveforms, FM, Modulation options, and separate o...

Pultec Bass Trick
Does anyone have a Combinator emulation of the "Pultec Bass Trick"? I vaguely remember 1 floating around at the old forum, made with the MClass. I'm looking for a reason not to buy the MP5 Rack Extention.

This is so great. You just made synchronous new again. It's a tedious RE to program too.

Re: Synapse DR-1: still worth getting with the RV7000 MKII?
I originally trialed it in Reason 7 and liked it quite a bit, but held off to see what the RV7000 MKII would offer. I've been using the MKII for awhile now, and I'm wondering: DR-1 owners, do you still use the Synapse reverb now that you have a bunch of IRs to choose from? The DR-1 is a super smoot...

Go with the obvious solution. Buy $70 worth of illicit substances and make some songs with the REs you already have.Mystile wrote:So i had already planned to drop the $200 for the drum bundle...but now that its on sale...do I save the $70...or spend it on something else, hmmmmm

Re: Heatwave! The JPS Summer Sale
Anybody here have the AMMO 400R/1200BR? I'm thinking about buying the 400R for the cv and occasionally a polymod distributor element. How much of a difference does the battery module on the 1200BR make? You can do a lot of weird modulation stuff with battery even with external audio. But I never go...

IIRC there's a pretty dope transient design combinator that Selig may have made. I use it on percussion all the time. It uses zero CPU.Gulale wrote:I really need a decent transient designer from Selig! With a bunch of control which is not CPU hungry.

Yeah, easy to understand when you say it like that. Applied to CV, and it's way more abstract to me.selig wrote:Feedback is ADDING the output signal back into the input, so naturally it's going to ADD gain in most cases.

Very creative.
I just tried putting chorus on a cv signal and cool things happened too. It seems as if the feedback knob acts as a amp gain.Marco Raaphorst wrote:...you can route any CV signal to any audio input, filter, chorus or… delay!

Re: Can any Dev make a Sidechain RE
I'm sure this has already been said, but... Why not just make a sidechain cominator???
you could easily pull it off using the the global mod env in a thor and a line mixer. Set up the the lfo to trigger the sidechain or trigger it using midi. It seems relatively straight forward to me.

Re: Line Mixer - does it perfectly preserve sound?
In my project template I send a copy of my Kick to an mclass compressor. I use the mclass cv out to control the volume of whatever chain I want. It sounds alright, doesn't color the signal, and uses very little CPU.

Re: Vecto - Are people still using it?
I have my money ready for the next sale on Vecto. How many presets does it come with? Quite a few, but nowhere near as many as Predator. The power of Vecto is not really in the presets, but in the amazing Oscillator banks. It's very easy to roll your own complex pads. Yeah. I prefer to make my patc...

Re: Blown Away by the Players
I too was skeptical of the players at first but I'm loving them. They're most effective when you stay as far away from the tempo sync as possible. We can stack a lot of them, as long as the last 1 is a scale device with the scale filter on. As long as its in the key of your song, it will sound prett...
