Re: Missed all the sales!!!!!!
I personally like FM4 better. I have both and FM4 is easier to program. If you're more of a preset kind off person then PX7 might be better as there are soooooo many presets available.

Re: A-List Guitarists and minor keys - where are they?
You're welcome and I totally agree. It's a simple usability item that should be fairly simple to implement. If you don't have your relative minors memorized then it can take a minute to google it. You add up a bunch of those little things and that's when you loose that creative spark. Propellerhead ...

Re: A-List Guitarists and minor keys - where are they?
Soooo a little music theory is helpful here (which is about all I have). When I want to work in a minor scale I simply select the relative major scale of the desired minor. So in your example, if you want to work in A min then select the relative major of A min which is C major. A brief Google sear...

Suggestions for New Synth
I'm looking for suggestions for a new synth. Full disclaimer here, I'm not a patch designer...more of a preset guy and then tweak to my needs. In general my music is similar/influenced my Chvrches, Phantogram, Purity Ring, Lorde, Broods,et al. I'm really only considering synths that are on sale. I a...

Re: Soundog Scale Studio
I've had this for a while now. Honestly I use it to develop 90% of my chord progressions. An advantage of this over an RE is that "notes to track" actually works. Drag and drop midi is awesome. It works really well with Studio One. It's a must buy for anyone like me (no music theory background). Sen...

Re: Lightweight DAW as VST host
If it's only to host external plugins, I use 'Audio Plugin Player' as well as AU Lab on Mac OS X. I use these with the EMI vs using ReWire... How are using retire to do this? Also you should check out AU Host. It's pretty lean and simple for just hosting AU synths and effects. Sent from my iPhone u...

Re: Melodyne Upgrade Deals?
Every year they come out with the same deal. I was like you guys and missed it one year. I waited and got it the next. Honestly I don't use it as much as I thought I would. It's just too big of a pain to use with reason. I can't stand rewriting reason and studio one with Melodyne. I really wish reas...

I've been asking for the same. It shouldn't be that hard to implement either.

Yes for me it is. There are quite a few folks that it may not be.
And really how hard would it have been for Props to implement ?

Re: How I do Minor Chords in A-list Acoustic Guitarrist?
I wish that it had the minor scales in addition to the major scales. Instead you have to select the relative major to use the scale that works with track if your track is in a minor key.

Get a second hard drive for it. That's what I did!Bigsby wrote:It's a work laptop. They allow us to install stuff for personal use, but we'll be stuck on Win7 for a while. I turned off USB3.0 in the BIOS and it works fine now. No dedicated USB 2.0 ports.

Re: How do you organize your sounds?
I have tried to organize by category; Drums, loops, bass, synth, etc. the problem is that a Refill may contain all these items or at least a large subset. Is there a way or more essentially is it a good idea to unpack all of my refills so I can arrange/organize my stuff?

How do you organize your sounds?
I have a metric F-ton of Refills, loops, samples and MIDI files. I really struggle how to organize all these into a manageable form that is conducive to songwriting and production. I would love insight into how you guys manage all this.

Ernst for a day
I would have reason act as a Rewire Master such that it could finally be the main/master software studio tool and not some patched in piece.
