Re: The, think up a good subscription model thread, ...
There is one way I'd like a subscription: if it enabled props to give us something they couldn't normally give us: like vst support . You had to go and do it didn't you http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rjTMV5J0v5Q/TaHm1pBJhBI/AAAAAAAABnI/fB8rXZeGdRU/s1600/BeeMedia_Sad-Boy+%25281%2529.jpg  LMAO!! :lol...

It really is And you can do it in Reason. I prefer Melodyne though. Works best if the audio is mono.ejanuska wrote:Bounce audio to MIDI? That's really a thing?

Howdy privateryan and welcome. Can you try to explain in more detail what you are trying to do? There are many knowledgeable folks on here who will be happy to help. Also the "Help" menu (up in the top left of your screen) is actually quite errm...... helpful  Once you get started I'm sur...

Re: How much you hate your own music?
If I hated the music I make I'd give up as there would be no point in it. I wish I was a better keyboard player. I wish I was a better guitarist but after surgery on my left hand a few years ago that ain't gonna happen. That same surgery means I don't have the dexterity I had when I was younger so c...

Re: Question for folks who also use Cakewalk SONAR
I use Sonar as Sonar and Reason as Reason and I don't try to carry over/adapt any particular working methods from one to the other - I just do what comes naturally to each DAW. Time spent trying to figure a way to replicate a method from one DAW to another is time wasted when you could just use the...

Re: Question for folks who also use Cakewalk SONAR
So do you find that you don't need as many after market plug-ins with SPLAT? When I say it seems more capable, that is really what I mean -- there is more "out of the box". Now I've collected quite a cadre of rack extensions this past three years, some I use often, some I plan to use and a couple t...

Re: Question for folks who also use Cakewalk SONAR
You can also create a mixer channel first if you now in advance that you want to use it later for effects and then route other channels to it. As Siberian Khatru has already noted the approach used by each DAW is different. Personally I prefer Sonar's workflow for mixing which I why I tend to rewir...

Re: The, think up a good subscription model thread, ...
I like Cakewalk's way with SONAR. You can pay for a full year, or a bit more for month by month and you get to keep everything you've paid for up until you duck out. So say you bought a year in January 2017, you'd get (and be able to keep) every monthly update until January 2018. If you renew, this...

I can confirm that. I bought Rob Papen's SubBoomBass a few days ago. Just had a look now and it's still in my cart. WTF!?eauhm wrote:The cart doesn't get cleared properly after completing a purchase.

Please never switch to a subscription model, Reason. So what if they did? What if they do what Cakewalk did? Ya sign up for the subscription then a year or so down the tracks they say "you never have to pay for an upgrade again". Yeah it got me at first but that's the situ with the Bakers. Regular ...

Re: When was the last time Reason had an honest to God bug?
I've been using Reason since v4. I vaguely recall it crashing once or twice after Record came on board but I could be wrong about that. Overall Reason has to be the most stable DAW out there. I got Sonar 7 around the same time as I got Reason and it seemed anything could crash that but I also stuck...

It honestly doesn't do much. The effect is very subtle. I had a couple of flags come up when installing it (Microsoft Visual C++) but it appears to have installed ok. What it doesn't do is make any appreciable difference to the sound. If it was April 1st I'd see the joke...... Grum. Thank feck! I t...
